Dealertainers, divas and luaus define this worldly center-Strip classic
Like a favorite uncle, Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino is a reliable presence at the center of the Las Vegas Strip. With a slightly kitschy tribute to ancient Japan, Imperial Palace offers a variety of entertainment, amenities and dining in a relatively compact space, and all without resort fees. Central to the casino floor are the famous "Dealertainer" celebrity card dealers. More entertainment includes Human Nature's Motown Tribute, Frank Marino's cross-dressing Divas, the acrobats of Japan's Matsuri and the world-class Auto Collections.
Highlights

  • Guests enjoy no resort fees at Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino!
  • The Auto Collections, one of the largest classic car showrooms with $100 million USD worth of inventory on display and for sale
  • "Dealtertainers," card dealers dressed as famous celebrities like Elvis, Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton and more
  •  Smokey Robinson presents Australia's Human Nature, "The Ultimate Celebration of Motown"
  • Oversized portions of unique, savory comfort food served at Hash House A Go Go

Location
Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino sites between the Flamingo and Harrah's resorts on the east side of the Strip, directly across from Caesars Palace and the Forum Shops.
Rooms
Despite the Imperial Palace's Asian theme, the 2,650 Standard Deluxe rooms in the resort's five towers are traditional American or Tropical in style, with queen or king beds, granite countertops and updated showers. The Capri building features pet-friendly accommodations (check hotel policy for restrictions). Suite options feature 300-gallon "Luv Tubs" with mirrored ceilings, and amenities like wet bars, sofabeds and flatscreen TVs. Wi-Fi Internet access is available for a fee.
Features

Guests at Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino enjoy the typical Vegas experience with amenities like a spa and salon, a large seasonal outdoor pool with cabanas (fees apply), fitness center and a small selection of casual shopping. Imperial Palace also features some of Vegas' most popular karaoke, a seasonal Polynesian Luau on the pool deck, a wedding chapel with a variety of ceremony options, and the world famous Auto Collections with more than 250 cars and a "history on wheels" tour.

Dine at moderately priced restaurants like Embers steakhouse, Burger Palace and Ginseng 3, a rare 24-hour Asian eatery on the Strip. Breakfast is served at Hash House A Go Go (come hungry for big, tasty portions), Emperor's Buffet and Betty's Diner. Stop for cocktails at Fat Tuesday's or go for people watching at Beacher's Rockhouse, a wild and bold carnival-themed bar with sexy dancers and a prime Strip-side location. Free self- and valet parking is available at the resort.

Entertainment

For gaming action, the casino at Imperial Palace offers a unique stadium-style sports book, card games featuring celebrity impersonating "dealertainers," and also honors the Harrah's Total Rewards Card. Free self- and valet parking is available.

Don't miss Matsuri, the famed Japanese "Muscle Musical" with a cast of 18 Japanese athletes who perform stunts like Human Jump Rope, Judo Tango and Foot Drums. From April through October, head to the pool deck for Las Vegas' only authentic poolside Luau and Polynesian revue. Guests can also catch a Motown tribute show at the Imperial Palace with Australia's most popular 4-man vocal group, Human Nature, presented by Smokey Robinson.

Good Location

The location was great! Walking distance to everything. If you are planning to stay in your room this is not the hotel for you, but if you are going to have fun this is the perfect place.

Great location, slow elevators

Overall experience was great! The only thing I would suggest is improved elevators. We used the stairs most of the time. Luckily we were warned by friends ahead of time and requested a low floor. Pool was great!

Not great

We just needed a place to sleep so I booked Imperial because it's cheap. You get what you pay for. The hot water had that sulfur smell when we first turned it on. The drain must be clogged because the water wasn't going down, we stood in the dirty water while showering. I tried to call the front desk 3 times to see if someone could fix it but no answer so I gave up. We got sheets for blankets, the only thing separating us from the nasty mattress was a thin bed sheet and a thin mattress cover. I didn't want to walk around barefoot because the carpet looked nasty. Housekeeping did a great job

Great value, would stay here again

Our stay at the Imperial Palace was comfortable and a great deal. The beds and room (standard double queen) were clean overall. Everything in the room worked, though the TV was quite old. The air conditioning kept us cool even when it was over 100 degrees outside. There were no noise issues either. Location is perfect, right in the middle of the strip. The front of the hotel/casino is undergoing renovation (as of May 2012) but it wasn't really an issue. General conclusion: not the fanciest hotel but the prices are usually low enough to make up for it and the location can't be beat.

Not the best place to stay

The room was dirty. They never vacuumed and when they did we had to ask them. The place is old they need a makeover. Had to buy air freshener to freshen up the room as well as neutralizer the air. Bought Lysol and had to take showers with flip flops. The only thing I have to say is the staff responded right away.

trade show trip

its long been known the Imperial reallllllllly needs to be renovated and it looks as if they have started it in stages....sort of a pain to have to walk way around the building to access main strip but the end result will be worth it. Carpet is old, fixtures are as well but the staff was exceptional, well mannered, and helpful...I rec'd a fantastic rate staying for a trade show by myself...room was very clean as well.....next show I'd stay again...it's right in the middle of everything so location was great!

Close To The Action

We have been to Las Vegas many times and always stay at Imperial Palace. Like the location on the strip and the size of the hotel. The casino does have a strong cigarette/cigar odour. The buffet is very good. The front of the casino is under construction at present but no problem to us. Will be back soon.
