great for people watching

Attended Guns N Roses concert. Great time. People in a happy and friendly mood. Staff very pleasant, always saying hi can I help you with something? My son had a great time as well. If you want a break, a little off the strip with some music entertainment, helpful staff, 24/7 good food, this is the place. We will go again and visit and recommend HR.

Wish I choose another Hotel.

Arrived early. Did a pre-check in. Staff said they would notifty when room was ready. Never did. Some of the staff were awesome. Some acted like they did not want to be there. The bathrooms need to be done over. No ventilation in bathroom. tp kept coming off the holder. Shuttle needs to run longer only 10 am - 5 pm. Also, the driver held out tip jar.

cool...but a bit scummy

This hotel is not nearly as nice as other Hard Rock hotels I have stayed at- it is definitely showing it's age. It does have character, neat rock and roll memorabilia, and some great concerts however. If you are a music lover and enjoy the feeling of "being at a concert", then this is not a bad choice. However, the facilities feel a little old and worn out, the location is too remote from the Strip. If you stay here, do yourself a favor and rent a cheap car. Cabbies are expensive here. Watch for ridiculous "resort fee" of $25 per day.

Hard Rock w/ no party!

First off, if you plan on going to Vegas M-F don't bother staying at the Hard Rock. The nightclub Vanity is only open Fri-Sun. The casino floor was dead and had to go to the strip to have some fun. The staff felt that since this was the "hard rock" they could act like a rocker while providing service to their guest. If you arrive prior to 3pm when checking in "either take a seat on the couch or accept a room looking out to the parking lot." They need a new management staff! LeAnne was not willing to allow a late check out on my wife's 30th birthday because "its Friday in Las Vegas." We were planning on spending $200 at their spa that day.

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

The hard rock provides a free bus ride to the strip from 10am-5pm. After all the cab rides to the strip because there isn't anything going on during the week at the HR you will need this to save a few bucks.

Great hotel off the strip!

I really enjoyed staying at the Hard Rock. They are not overly centered on the casino section, the ventilation is excellent for those of us with cigarette allergies, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the beds are super comfortable, the cafes and stores were excellent and appropriate, and even for Halloween weekend the price was affordable. Now a few issues: the lighting in the bathroom is terrible.... beware ladies if you are planning to apply makeup, you may need to remove the lamp shades in the bathroom just to see your face! The hotel is also really spread out so I think I lost a few pounds just for having to stay in the Paradise Tower which is as far away as it gets. Finally, it is off the strip, not too far from things but usually we had to take a cab (which, btw, if you do take a cab, make sure you know where you are going because the drivers will take the long way to increase their final payout). Otherwise a great hotel and I will stay here again!

A great time

Everything was first class. Rooms clean, fresh and comfortable. Checking in was a snap, the staff was very courteous. Only two draw backs ( and they are very minor) there wasn't a buffet just restaurants. We ate at three of the restaurants and they were all excellent. The other complaint was the shuttle to The Strip only drops you off at one location, so you have to walk a long way to get to the casinos. You're better off walking from the Hard Rock Hotel or taking a cab, especially if you're going to the casino's on the south end of the strip.

Good, but not the best

Booked Hard Rock for two nights because of a great price. Compared to some of the other hotels I normally stay at (Palazzo, Wynn, etc.), hard Rock just didn't seem to quite measure up. It just seems like there isn't much at this hotel. The room was nice, but it was smaller than what I am accustomed to. I will say the bed is really comfortable, though. I didn't really have any special needs, but all of the hotel staff I interacted with were very nice. On its own, Hard Rock is good. But compared to some of the other hotels in Vegas, it leaves something to be desired.

Puke Everywhere!

When my husband got to the hotel, he got in the elevator and there was a pile of vomit inside. My son also found a pile of puke in a hallway near his room. It was a bad omen for the rest of our stay. The short story is the air conditioning in the room did not work and we had to wait a day for them to come switch out the motor, and this was in an upgraded suite for which we had paid extra! The lights on either side of the bed did not work, and the shower was so clogged up, it would not drain and ended up overflowing all over the floor by the toilet. The lighting in the bathroom was very poor and it was hard to see to put on makeup. There was no coffee or hot water in the room. The view was the best part of our room. Sorry, but next time, I'm staying in a clean motel.
