  • Get some laughs with celebrity impressions of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jack Nicholson, and Elvis Presley at Gordie Brown LIVE

Rooms
Over 2,000 non-smoking rooms and suites across four towers offer a deluxe variety of accommodations at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino. Standard rooms in the luxurious Rush Tower are a generous 439 square feet and feature iPod docking stations, 42" plasma screens, DVD players, pillow-top beds and down comforters, and bathrooms with twin decolav sinks, a lighted makeup mirror and waterfall showerheads. The Nugget's spacious Carson Tower rooms are more formally styled, with marble lined bathrooms and pillow-top beds. More classic standard rooms in the Gold Tower include pillow-top beds and 42" plasma TVs, while Gold Club Rooms on the 16th and 17th floors offer more modern styling and concierge-level amenities. Suites in the Spa Tower, most of which are two-level, come with a wet bar, living and dining areas, large bathrooms with two-person spa tubs and dramatic views. No matter the tower, most rooms offer a variety of views that include the Vegas Strip, Spring Mountains and/or the pool deck.
Features

Daredevils love the Golden Nugget's three-story waterslide for more than just the drop – the slide also plunges through the immense shark tank by way of a secure tube. Also on the third floor of The Tank, the secluded Hideout pool deck offers an adults-only scene with an infinity pool and the H20 Bar. Back inside, the 45,000 square-foot-casino draws gamers to its popular slot and video poker machines, table games, race and sports book and poker room. The Golden Nugget also offers select retail (including a jewelry shop and high-end boutique apparel), an arcade and a golf concierge. Cabanas and daybeds at both the Golden Nugget and Hideout pools are available for a fee. Free self- and valet parking is available.

Dining
As with most luxury Vegas resorts, dining options at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino range from seafood at Chart House with its 75,000 gallon tropical fish aquarium, Vic & Anthony's for steak, Red Sushi, Grotto Italian, Lillie's Asian Cuisine and The Grille. Start the day with coffee at Starbucks or breakfast at the Buffet or Carson Street Cafe. Beer aficionados appreciate the big selection of 40 different brews at the casino's International Beer Bar.

Great for older hotel

Beautiful pool, beautiful hotel, good food, comfortable bed and pillows, good price. Too smoky, no mini frig or microwave, not enough servers in casino or pool.

Accomodations for Shania concert

This hotel is on Fremont St. which is a shocking experience to say the least. This hotel is quite far from activities, but it is a very nice hotel and a good value. Las Vegas is outrageously expensive!

Desk Staff had attitude

I had an accident exiting a shuttle van upon arrival at teh car rental place that forced me to need special assistance during my stay. My wife had to check us because I couldn't walk to the check-in, but I had made the reservations. My wife had to return to the entrance where I was awaiting wheel chair assistance to obtain MY ID to complete the check-in. We had to call the front desk to have our bags delivered to the room after we got to the room. Plus, they also put us in the wrong type of room and had to move us after the first night. Everything from water to coffee in the room had an extra charge: $7 for bottled water in the room; $10 for the Kuerig coffee. Room service? about $12 for a bowl of cereal after all the fees and taxes were added in BUT without tip. When I ordered a wheelchair, the bell desk said I had to come to them to pick it up! If I could have walked there, I didn't need a wheelchair. After we were moved to a new room, my wife went out on Freemont and when she returned had forgotten our room number. She went to the front desk where the guy would not tell her the number because she didn't have her photo ID, insisting that she call me in the room to find out the number, As I was in bed due to my injury, it required 8 or so rings for me to reach the phone, but the front desk kept hanging up the phone before I could answer it! After 4 painful attempts I got to the phone and gave her our room number. The bed quality was terrible and literally felt like one had laid on a rack after being in bed a few hours. Bell hops and Security staff were great but all staff behind various desks had extreme attitudes. For all our trouble and pain, we were comped the coffee and one room service charge. Wooee!!!

Great first-time Vegas experience

The location was great. We didn't miss being on 'the strip' because there were so many activities just outside the hotel on Fremont Street. Shopping, free shows, even dancing in the street! We are already planning a return visit.

Mixed review

The stay here was average. It was our first stay in "Old Vegas" rather than the Strip. We found the staff at Binions and Four Queens much more friendly. I was ready to complain about the rude staff at the buffet and the pit boss at the Sport Book - it was Derby Weekend and she was just out and out mean - but then the front desk and bell hop were just so friendly - he went out of his way to help us find a taxi that would hold our entire party - that I decided not to complain to management. We only gambled here the first night - went elsewhere after that.

A Fabulous Adult Getaway

Had an enjoyable weekend getaway. Italian restaurant, Grotto, was delicious. Room was clean. When we 1st checked in there was no hot water, but that was fixed by the morning. Pool was extremely crowded with no seats available. People would go to the pool in the early am and save multiple chairs for ppl who weren't 't showing up for hours. Of the taken seats, a large amount of them didn't have ppl even in the pool area. Seems like the hotel should address this, not sure how. Casinos downtown weren't classy or elegant, but it was easy to find a $10 table and we still had fun. We went to the strip for a show and after a dr hours were happy we decided on downtown, less crowded & easier to find things.

Nothing Special

For the price you pay to stay in a "nice" hotel the coffee should at least be free in your room. Not so, ten dollars for pitiful one cup coffee. The bed was awful, saggy in the middle. Thanks goodness the room didn't smell like the lobby, stale cigarettes and old rugs. All said, I wasn't there for the Las Vegas experience.

excellent location

This hotel is fun fun fun. The pool experience became a daily part of our morning ritual and being right on Fremont street gives you more bang for the buck. Only negative is the smoking allowed, but unfortunately, that's everywhere in Vegas.
