Flamingo Las Vegas

We got a good flight & hotel package deal and stayed at the Flamingo 2/26/2013 - 3/1/2013. We were provided with a room upgrade on the 26th floor overlooking the strip . . . a pretty nice view. I also had trouble accessing internet in the room, called the help line and they resolved the problem quickly and provided us with free internet access for the duration of our stay. The two big pluses are the location of the hotel on the strip, and the outdoor habitat. The pool would have probably been great also, but it was closed for the winter season. This is definitely an older facility and the bathroom in particular was pretty dated. But if you are looking for an "economy" place to stay, centrally located on the strip, with access to a "natural escape (the Habitat) from all the noise and lights, the Flamingo will work well for you. Note that as is standard on the strip, EVERYTHING extra costs money and will be way over-priced.

I love the flamingo the location is perfect and the staff is very helpful, Ill be back for sure :)

Hotel overall a positive experience, perfect location great value! Like all hotels on strip check in is a struggle. The only complaint I have about hotel is the old parking garage. It fills up quickly at night and valet will also fill up. Not to mention the first 3-4 floors are valet and hertz parking out of a 7 story parking structure. So those early mornings when your trying to get back to your room at 4am the structure will be full. Hope they invest some money and re-do it soon!

Location is fantastic, room was hip and modern and comfortable. Hotel amenities are decent, nothing spectacular. But you just cannot beat this hotel for location and value at the heart of the strip.

Had a good time in Vegas!!! The pool areas were really nice and plenty of space. The one thing i would want in the hotel room at those prices would be a fridge!!

No muss no fuss. Ultra clean and smartly furnished room, efficient and helpful at check-in and check-out, high customer service orientation from all staff. Very good sports book operation. Room service screwed up a little but that was the only oopsie. I will definitely go back - excellent value and location.

In the middle of the Strip, you couldn't get a better place to stay! The room is pretty ordinary, but that's usually not the point of your visit! Breakfast are awfully expensive and there is not a lot of healthy choices. Except the buffet, you should either not have breakfast or go somewhere else! Burger joint is real good but the REAL MUST is MARGARITAVILLE'S restaurant!. Ambiance, Football game, food, Margaritas, Staff, everything is amazing! Best night ever started there! Rent a car with Hertz for 100$ and go visit the Red Rock Canyon (20 mins from Hotel) at sunset and the Valley of Fire (1h from hotel just follow the highway) for hicking and a killer view! Celine Dion's show "celine" is clearly a must and Cirque du Soleil "O" is defenetly one to see!

at check-in, the desk staff member was efficient and assisted my request of a room with a view! from the 12th floor, i could see the new cosmopolitan, fountains of bellagio, and all of caesar palace!! quite impressive! my room was showing its age as the arms on the chairs were worn... occasionally, i could hear the neighboring rooms but overall i couldn't ask for more as the nitely price of my 8 day stay was very, reasonable!!! now the bad news! my last morning's shower was out of a comedy! showering early [6:30am], i found myself edging closer to the wall to try 'n come into contact with the water! hmm--- all lathered up in soap and no water!!! i dried off and went to the phone! i could not reach guest services, concierge, front desk --- no one!! i dressed and went directly to the desk where i was told "they're working on the problem." not much empathy nor apologies for the inconvenience!!! the only person who offered a listening ear was the hostess at the buffet at the paris! [by the way, great breakfast there!] returning??? hmmmm.... read my next review!!

I was looking forward to this vacation and for the most part it was great fun in Vegas. However, the Flamingo Hotel did not meet my expectations. The facilities are clearly run down and not well maintained. Checked into my room after waiting over 30 mins in line. Got a room that had no amenities, a lamp was missing a shade, the walpaper was peeling in some areas, carpet was worn out, shower head was not too clean and water preassure was weak. There are excessive charges to use internet services and workout facilities (these are usually free of charge at most hotels I have stayed before). The pool facilities are ok, but the water in the pool was extremely cold so it was not enjoyable for me to go swimming and since the pool deck is small for such a huge hotel, it was hard finding a chair to rest, and those we found, were in the shade, so no chance to suntan. Besides, the south building prevents the Sun from shinning over the pool area. We had an early check out and could not check out of the room on the TV monitor because the video service is only available before 6AM. Weird! So all in all.. the Flamingo is a mediocre hotel, poorly maintained and in really bad need of refurbishing and upgrades. Can not recommend.it at all. Will not return to this hotel again.

Budget prices for a prime Vegas Strip location with a fantastic pool!
