Dining

Hamada of Japan
For nearly a decade, Hamada of Japan has been a Las Vegas favorite for those seeking an authentic Japanese dining experience.
Carlos'n Charlie's
Carlos'n Charlie's is where you can go to get loose, get loud and get some potentially valuable photos of your friends doing the same thing. Sure, we have some amazing food and the best drinks in town. But let's face it, we're really all about fun. So if you can't have fun, you can't have dessert, and you don't want to miss what we can do with a can of whipped cream! Feel free at Carlos'n Charlie's.
Sin City Brewing Company
Especially on a hot summer's day, there's nothing quite like a hand-crafted, microbrewed beer. That's exactly what you'll find at Sin City Brewing Company's second location, at the fabulous Flamingo.
Paradise Garden Buffet
Watch the playful antics of live penguins and flamingos while enjoying a fresh feast at the Paradise Garden Buffet. Enjoy a scrumptious salad and fresh fruit bar along with mounds of shrimp on ice, Alaskan crab legs and seafood salads.
Pink Bean
Serving freshly brewed gourmet coffee, espresso and cappuccino, Java Coast also offers sandwiches, desserts and Nathan's Famous hot dogs (southwest casino location only). Both locales offer indoor and patio seating.
Lounges
Even Bugsy Siegel liked to take a break from the action from time to time - and the bars of the Flamingo proudly honor this tradition. From a laid-back lounge that looks out to our Wildlife Habitat to a bar where gamers gather in the middle of the blazing casino floor, the Flamingo Las Vegas is packed with refreshing options.
Tropical Breeze Cafe
This 24-hour casual dining restaurant overlooks the beautiful Flamingo Wildlife Habitat. Cuisine is traditional American fare with an extensive array of appetizers, pastas, soups, salads and home-style entrees. Enjoy a fresh breakfast or stop in for an afternoon snack.
Margaritaville
"Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place." The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, five distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000 square-foot retail store. The menu reflects the flavors of Jimmy Buffett's island travels.
Beach Club Bar & Grill
During the summer months, guests can grab a light snack or relaxing lunch at the Flamingo Beach Club Cafe, with a front-row seat on the sparkling blue waters of the Upper Pool.
Center Cut Steakhouse
The menu features steakhouse favorites such as the 20 ounce rib eye and the 24 ounce porterhouse, made with all natural premium beef sourced from Aspen Ridge Farms in Colorado. The beef is provided by cows that are born and raised solely in the United States and are 100 percent hormone and steroid-free. In addition to mouth-watering steaks, the menu offers a wide variety of seafood dishes and other exquisitely prepared entrees such as the ultimate steakhouse Kobe burger and rack of lamb. Rounding out the menu is an assortment of delicious salads, sides and desserts.

About what you'd expect for the money, but just barely

The room was fine, but I am giving it only 2 stars for amenities because it lacked a refrigerator. It's on the strip, so I gave it a 4 for location. All the rest was just average: not bad, but not overly special either.

great location

Right in the center of the strip. Great location. Our room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom needed some remodeling and elevators were really old and actually scared me. But, otherwise I enjoyed my stay. Great pool area too and animal habitat.

Yet another great time at the Flamingo

You just can't beat the location of this property! It's in walking distance to a huge variety of casinos and the tram is easily accessible. Our only complaint was the charge for Wi-Fi. Vegas is NOT an inexpensive place to visit - no consideration to the cost of gambling included. Beer, drinks, food and other items are 'off the charts' costly in comparison to other venues. High costs encourage guests to go off the strip, shop and bring it back to the hotel - you can save tons of money doing that! A person expects to spend more money in Vegas - if not, pick someplace else. High costs of merchandise lead to us making off-strip purchases and spending LESS at the hotel itself. Staff was very helpful and very friendly. We'll go back and we'll stay at the Flamingo and we will buy most everything 'off strip' so we have more money to donate to tables and slots!

HOTEL STAY

The hotel was located in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip, which was convenient. The rooms were outdated and the a/c needs attention. The hotel itself was really nice.

Liked location-but hotel is nothing fancy

Was good enough. Liked the hotel for the price and location. Not necessarily the cleanest or fanciest hotel for sure. The timeshare people are annoying and rude. I asked a lady how to get to the strip and she told me that's not her job. Margaritaville-it took at least 30 minutes for the waiter to even notice we were in his section. Oh well. Next time I'll probably stay on Fremont street anyways.

First Time in Vegas

The location was great. It wasn't far from the airport and it was within walking distance to all the casinos and attractions we wanted to visit. There is a resort fee of $80 that wasn't advertised when I booked the room, so if you're used to going to all-inclusives, this isn't one of them. Expect to pay for everything; from printing out boarding passes for travel, to internet access (for more than one device). Be sure to ask for an updated room. The ones advertised on the hotel's website may not be the one you get when you arrive unless you're a VIP or willing to pay an arm and a leg, and especially if you're a late arrival. There are sections of the hotel that have not been updated in decades... and it shows. Don't be fooled at the space those rooms provide. They are not only out-dated, but dirty. The carpets were a mess; dust and fingerprints are everywhere. Anthony Melchiorri from "Hotel Impossible" would have a field day in those rooms! My mother even had a used washcloth hanging on the showerhead when she checked in. But the hotel staff was really nice about it and told us we could change our rooms if we wanted. We did... the next morning. There are lots of places to eat and shop within the hotel. There is also a convenience store (not the one by the hotel desk) that sells snacks, alcohol and toiletries at a reasonable price. Check to see if the shuttle you book will drop you off at the front entrance of the hotel. Ours dropped us about a block away, and then we had to trek through the entire hotel to get to the check-in desk; all this after a twelve-hour cross-country trip. The check-in lines were extremely long, but check-out can be done by phone from your room. For my first time in Vegas, this wasn't bad for a three-star. Once I received a clean and updated room, everything else fell into place.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

If you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your hotel room, get a room downtown then catch a cab or bus to the Strip. If you stay at the Flamingo, be sure to ask for a room on a higher floor, else you'll get the dirty ones.
