Basic Clean Inexpensive

Nothing fancy here in a not too interesting area. A daily resort fee of $11.19 provided me with 1 newspaper and 2 phone calls. The internet connection was down which if up would have made the fee worthwhile. The buffet was just ok with a fair price. My room was clean, quiet and in good condition except no heat. It gets cold at night fall and winter in Las Vegas. Hotel security carry firearms which I did not find comforting. Add the resort fee to the daily rate and you may find a better deal.

Friendly Staff, Uncomfortable Room

We stayed at the Fiesta Rancho Station Casino in Las Vegas during their coldest, snowiest nights. We nearly froze all the first night due to the furnace not staying on. We notified housekeeping the next day and heard nothing from them; the next night was extremely cold, also. When we checked out, we told them about the furnace and were told that they had checked our furnace and it worked fine, but we should have been told at check-in that it required our room key to activate the furnace. Nobody told us that, even after our complaints, until we checked out. Also, the hotel added an extra mandatory charge onto our room, which we weren't told about until we checked in, which they said was added to every room, to cover use of the internet, local newspaper, and something else, none of which we wanted nor used. We felt this was unfair. (However, due to our furnace experience, they did waive that mandatory charge.) Also, the towels & wash cloths were very small and thin, and there was only one of each for each of us. The staff were very friendly and nice, however, every time we spoke with them.

Dining tip: In Hotel

There were several restaurants (and even a McDonald's!) right inside the casino. Of course, for gamblers, there were plenty of slots and tables. We chose this hotel because it was near the neighborhood of several relatives.
