At the fantasy, castle-themed Excalibur, there's something for everyone in a setting that's fun and friendly, not fancy. Kids will love the Tournament of Kings dinner show, Fun Dungeon arcade and remodeled year-round pool with a waterslide. Indifferent is the key word here
Because we ended up able to leave a day early we stayed and a different casino our fist night. We believed our room to be more superior at the first casino than Excab. However we found the interior of the casino better at Excab than our first casino. Also mold in the shower at Excab was a little bit of a turn off.

Extra expenses were not expected
When i got to the check in desk they had me pay an extra $15 per night for the hotel/resort fee which i was not expecting to pay. The service at the desk was not as helpful as i remember my past Vegas experiences to be.

An ok Hotel
I booked my hotel at the Excalibur and it was in a good location .... that thing that suck was that my room was way at the end of the hallway , next to the housekeeping closet and stairs .... so every time the people were going to clean a room in our floor they will make a lot of noise we were up on the 22 floor ...

Use the stairs to get to the ground floor the elevaters get packed so theres a line of people waiting to use them.. I went down the stairs carrying 3 bottles of alcohol LOL what a work out !

You get what you pay for .... Cheap
We have stayed twice. The second time was worse than the first. Drawers did not have pull knobs had to leave my bag with a cloth handle to pull the drawer out. It was like a bad Motel 6. It was cheap and we don't stay in the room that much, maybe that's why they don't update. That's okay we won't stay again. We stay at The Orleans and the rooms are cute, little suites with the baths at the back instead at the front of the rooms which is nice. Always clean and updated.

The Orleans and Gold Coast have the biggest and cheapest Buffet for Breakfast. They are like 2 for 1 on specific days for seniors. Otherwise it is $6-$7 with your card.

Biggest bang for the buck!
The location of the Excalibur is right in the middle of everything on the Strip in Vegas, which is why it appealed to me. I enjoyed being able to visit other places such as the Luxor and MGM Grand right from my hotel room not even a block walk from where I was. On top of that, PH and a lot of great clubs were available next to my location, which added to the great setup. I mainly selected the Excalibur because it was less than $90 a night but gave me great options still in the area! The staff was great in getting me settled in, and the atmosphere is very comfortable when coming back to the room. And the buffet options were very reasonable! I would definitely say check out this hotel if you have the chance.

Gone Down
I have stayed at Excalibur every visit to Vegas for the past 10 years. It has really gone down hill.. I was not impressed and happy to say actually, that will be my last stay there. It needs a remake/remodel. The smell in the hotel (aside from the casino smoke smell) was outrageous in the elevators, upstairs by the rooms, the halls, the room, etc. It smelled of musty old dust and dirt. I felt dirty the whole time I was in this hotel. I will be staying at Luxor next time, they have really done some upgrades and its worth it!

Average hotel
Great location and buffet but very average rooms. They will also charge you $12.50 per night as a "resort fee", which seems inflated and unnessesary-that's how they offer "complimentar" wifi. Overall location can't be beat.
