Fine, not great

Perfect location for seeing the strip. Found old candy in between the bed and nightstand. Could have been cleaner, staff was nice, pool and parking was far from the room. Ok for 1 night

Mom & son concert trip

Liked the hotel. Will stay again but really should offer WiFi and room service after 2pm. Seems to close everything to eat at 11 pm which made it rough when we got back to our room after a concert and needed to eat. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Beds were comfy.

Vegas vacation

We arrived and at check-in, we were offered a "upgrade" to our room in Tower 1. He said our room would be bigger. It wasn't a upgrade at all. The room was outdated. There were no outlets to plug in our phones or Ipads except the floor outlets behind cabinets and lamps. Then every morning at 6:30 am we were awaken by beeping and talking from workers outside. They were unloading trucks and moving box's with fork lifts and such. It was less than optimum for sleeping in when you stay up late in Vegas! We saw a friends room in Tower 2 on check-out day and there room was really nice and modern. We felt like we got the shaft!

The good and the bad

This hotel is average. Same with the pool area. They upgraded us to the "updated" suite, but it didn't look updated. The staff was very helpful (on the phone and in person) . We asked for extra blankets and towels, they brought them up right away. They have a good food court choices (Starbucks, crispy creme, Cinnabon ,smoothie place,Pizza Hut), but prices are high. The worst part of this hotel was the beds. They are REALLY hard. We woke up the next day with aches and pains. You can also hear everything from the hallways and other rooms. Bathroom was clean and worked well.

Time Share Pushers

After arriving to the hotel after a 4 1/2 hour flight with two children the last thing I want is someone to try to trick us into a timeshare presentation! I have never had this problem in Vegas at any other hotel. As soon as you walk in the Excalibur staff tried to get us to go see a time share presentation but trick you by saying they have a special gift for you. Each employee gets $10.00 per family that they book. Every single time you walk through the hotel/casino the staff is all over you. I tried to check in early ($20.00 fee) and Yolanda at the front desk was very rude. Not a good first impression. The hotel pools were nice. The rooms were clean but no fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, or internet. Kid-friendly resorts should have at least a fridge and microwave. I tried to e-mail four of the casino hosts before we came to get some information, and I didn't get a reply from any of them. We will not be back to this hotel/casino because of the constant solicitation from the staff.
