Very dissapointing

Circus Circus hotel was so far below my expectations. The rooms are not comfortable, the beds hard and very old. The first room we got was so dirty and still dirty after maid service returned to clean. The front desk staff were the rudest I have seen. It seems obvious that the hotel is not worried about losing money, you are treated as if your businsess is not needed or important.

Not the best experience

My Circus Circus stay was less than pleasant. Check in took a very long time, almost an hour. I found that the hotel staff, although friendly was not very helpful. My room was very questionable. The wallpaper was peeling off the wall in places. Light fixtures were broken/missing. The bathroom had mold in the corner. I don?t know if I have ever found a ?comfortable? hotel bed, however these beds were terrible. It may have been more comfortable to sleep on the floor. Luckily, I did not need to spend too much time in my room. I would not stay at the Circus Circus again nor would I recommend it to others.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Use the Duce, it?s a double decker bus that runs the strip 24/7. It?s only $2 a trip anywhere along the strip.

Dirty

When I first arrived in my room I opened the door to find a bedspread in a bag inside my door. It was off of one of the beds. Turning on the lights I noticed a boarder of embedded dirt around the room. Opening the curtins to a great view of a wall and roof top did not help any. Next we went to order food as it was 1:30 Vegas time and we were starving. The service was very slow. Finding glasses and plates in elevators, or by the way only one elevator was working at the time, and all over the hotel was unpleasant. Slots of fun was a good time! Coffee in the morning was an experience dodging all the spilt sugar and cream on the counter of the coffee shop. The pool was ok but when we ordered drinks they were delivered with the wrong mixer. The unvaccumed pool elevator also had chips plates and beer bottles scattered inside when it was working. Again the view was of a parking lot.

Never again

I have stayed at Circus Circus many times as it is within a short walk to the convention center. I knew this time that the city would be full of convention attendees and prices would be higher. In the past I have stayed in Tower rooms at a reasonable rate, yet I expected this would be considerably more to to the shortage of rooms. I was charged five times the normal rate for a room built in the 1950s, with I am sure the the very same bed and furniture as original. The outer security doors didn't lock the whole time I was there. The first night I ate at the cafe and order the prime rib special. There was ample food, but the beef was tougher than a pair of flip flops. The second night I decided on the famous dinner buffet. Another disappointment! The turkey was so overdone it was barely palatable, the beef tips in gravy was again, tough and difficult to chew. I used to complain about the chow in the mess hall when I was in the Marine Corps, never again. The meat, vegetables and amenities were nothing like I was used to. For breakfast, instead of the usual breakfast buffet, I opted to save chancing a waste of $10.49 and went to McDonalds down the street. It was as expected. Upon checkout, I was told I owed $2.00 for a phone I never used. The charge was removed after I asked for the manager. This was truly not the Circus Circus I was accustomed to.

Not a Good Place to Vacation

We were very dissatisified. the room was not even in the casino. We took my grandson there because we wanted to be able to give him the opportunity to see the circus acts, but to have to walk him that far to see them was to much for a two year old, We walked in to the smell of old mildew smell. there was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. The beds were very uncomfortable to the point, we could feel the the coils in the beds. by the time we left we all had sinus headaches and stuffiness from the room. We also couldn't believe the pool was closed at 5pm, weren't we in Laqs Ve3gas. I'v never been to a hotel where the po0ol closed so early. I will never suggest this for anyone to stay

Not the Best Experience

The Circus Circus Las Vegas had the odor of smoke throughout the facility with an overwhelming odor on the casino floor. Air circulation was inadequate. Air filtration could have been better. The guests were obliviouse of anyone around other than themselves and did not watch whose path they ran in front of, nor attend to their multiple children running amuck. As you exited the building, one quickly found themselves in an area with many homeless with multiple needs and street vendors a little too much on the aggressive side.
