Luxx Hotel

This is not a hotel. It is a set of rooms. Entrance and exit are terribly difficutl to manage. No hotel staff available. Too dark. Man checking us in could not see the keyboard. Said we would have a hot tub. Did not have one. This hotel owner is an artist. He needs to find someone knowledgeable to manage his so called hotel efficiently. Would never recommend staying at the LUXX.

The Luxx is highly overrated on the site. It should not be continued. The doors and finding your way into the hotel is the first challenging part. It was a Hotel California feeling. "We may never get to leave." The hotel is not a hotel. It may have some appeal to a few, but most people reviewed this hotel with the same feeling I had. Wish I had been at home booking and had time to read reviews. I would not have booked. They have reviews since April of 2012 with the same complaints. Our stay was January 2013. Get these issues fixed. Staff completely unavailable, parking in garage continues to give guests problems. The TV is difficult to use and there are no directions. The place is way too dark. Put some lights in. The man checking us in could not even see the keyboard. This place is an artsy tartsy joke. Be an artist and get someone efficient to run your rooms. It is rooms not a hotel. Would have liked to have left after my husband could not get back into the place from the garage. Close your doors and work out your problems.

Everything was just fine. We don't go to Santa Fe to spend a lot of time in the hotel room, but one important factor was the location near the Square. This hotel was perfect for that. You have to pay extra for parking, but that wasn't too big of a deal.

Room size was tiny for it being a so called "Suite". A kitchenette is more than a small refrigerator and a small microvave. Dark. Staff not helpfull on resturants. Staff was nice though and very friendly. I would not recommend this place to my parents or a friend for sure

Very strange experience. Loved the location, & price was great for being right by the plaza. The room was clean, but when we got there, there was no staff. The manager's "friend" called him on the phone & he let us into our room! It's almost a self-serve hotel w/staff being absent a big part of the time. Never got the tv to work. We had to let a woman out of the hotel parking structure because there was no one from the staff around for her to check out & she could not get into the parking structure. Strange experience. The gym room is shared with a kitchen; that wasn't good. Although, would probably stay again if we needed to be by the plaza and we now know what to expect.

So I love this hotel the location couldn't get any better and the price through the actual hotel can often better than that found online if you end up extending your visit. The room # 8 was really so. Much more than what you would expect to get. The king size bed very comfy flat screen tv with tv Internet free wifi mini fridge and microwave and this particular room best location to crawl through the big bay window to the hotel hot tub or to sit at the quaint table outside your room to enjoy a drink or cigarette I will revisit often

It is dark and dingy. We were suppose to have a King suite. It was one DARK room. They weren't full so they changed our room. Also Santa Fe gets hot in the summer. There is NO air conitioning. Not all the bedrooms even have windows. You could roast in the rooms. Fortunately for us, the weather in the evening cooled off and the air conitioning wasn't needed. They did have overhead fans, but when it is hot the fans don't do it. The only positive note is the location, which is great.

This hotel is more of an apartment buried within a larger establishment with onsite restaurants. The quality is lacking for the price level. It feels like paint and plaster were slopped on. Quality of beds was low. Housekeeping was not consistent. Doors and walls are thin although at night the hotel was quiet. Room size was not as advertised -- hotel said it was due to upgrade which was never made clear until questioned. Would not agree that a smaller room is an upgrade.

The Luxx proved to be an excellent hotel. Location-wise, it's within easy walk to the center of town (along a road with numerous nice bars and restaurants). As for the hotel itself, it has a nice ambiance and the rooms are nicely furnished. Defintely would consider staying there again.

It was supposed to have a soaking tub....nope! Regular tub, zero water pressure. No one seemed to be around when we needed things like towels. No blow dryer available. Next time, we'll find someplace nicer.
