Great getaway!
Perfect location, couldn't be any any better. Rooms are small but clean with limited amenities. Bed's were very comfortable. Hotel itself is very nice and beautiful. Room was hot for the winter time. The thermostat didn't seem to work. You could open the windows but could hear the noise of delivery trucks, etc throughout the night. Great hotel if you are planning to spend most of your time out in the wonderful downtown area. Not so good if you are planning to spend the majority of your time in the room.

Great location
A well located and clean hotel. The public spaces are spacious. The hotel has kind of a cold, institutional feeling to it - all hard surfaces - wood, stone, marble, etc. - a little 'hard edged'. Room was tiny. I was glad I was travelling alone. With two people it would have been claustrophobic. The TV is in an armoire at a 45 degree angle to the bed, very awkward viewing position. No coffee pot in room. They offer coffee service at a pre designated time but the first possible time is 6:45 - way too late for me. I had it one morning and it ended up being about $7, with taxes and service, for a pot of hot water and a couple of tea bags. A single cookie or cracker would be a nice touch. I wouldn't stay there again.

Getaway before Christmas
Thanksgiving getaway
Check-in was great and staff was very helpful. In the past we have stayed at La Fonda but wanted a change. I think that the rooms were comparable. Some reviews expressed that the rooms were very small but I didn't find our room to be any smaller than other older hotels we have stayed at. The location was great, just off of the square, which made it a little more quiet. I also felt it was a great bargain compared to others on the square.

Week-end get away
The location of the hotel is it's best asset.. The bed was excellent.. The room, however was tiny. The sink was in the room not in the bathroom and it was too high. The lighting over the sink was very poor. It was difficult too shave or put on make-up. We would probably not stay there again if we were to find a nearby hotel with more comfortable rooms within the same price range.

In the heart of sante fe
Great location and helpful staff. Room authentic and charming, very tight on space. Wrought iron light fixtures, white Lacey bedspread, casement window with street view, a quiet ac coupled with the central location and knowledgable concierge took this hotel to the top of our list. A pool would have made it a five. Georgia Okeefe museum a must see. Marble brewery rooftop pizzeria beer sampler is also a must.

Terrific choice in Santa Fe
The St. Francis was spacious, clean and quiet with extremely beautiful and comfortable bedding. Right off the square, the location is convenient and easy to find. With a buy one night, get one free deal, the price could not be beat in August. I will choose St. Francis for my next trip.

Excellent Hotel
The St. Francis is an old vintage facility, but has been modernized and is quite up to date. Food and drink were good, albeit the red chili sauce was too hot for my wife to eat. Parking next to the hotel was convenient and worth the modest charge. We would go there again just for the convenience and friendly staff. We came for one night only to attend the Santa Fe Chamber Festival Opening.

paying a lot for not much
A regular room is small. I mean really small. You're paying a lot for not all that much--the same amount for a place down the street where breakfast and parking are included (in case it's not clear, they are not included in the room price). I would not recommend staying here. It's a great location though.
