Perfect extended stay location

This condo-style accommodation, mostly done in the beautiful Santa Fe adobe style, has all the modern conveniences and plenty of southwest style. The full kitchen was well equipped; the dining area cozy for four. The living room was spacious to relax in, and the bedroom and bath were newly appointed and comfortable. There was plenty of parking close to my unit. There are steps to some units, which would be a consideration for anyone with a mobility issue. The location, at the top of a ridge about five blocks from Santa Fe Plaza, was perfect for me-- a lovely walk in and out every day, so that I got to experience all the local shops and museums, without ever having to fight for parking, or wind up in the crowds at the end of the day. It was also an easy connection to the highway, which I took to the Santa Fe Opera and to Taos. I have already told my friends, and we are planning to bring a big group next time!

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

The Indian Market at the Palace of Governors is the best place to meet Native American artists, and find authentic jewelry, pottery and other crafts at great prices. It's worth going every day, as different artists come out and different pieces are available. And the people are incredibly accommodating and lovely to deal with. Just pay attention to the fact that some folks accept cash only; others are able to take plastic.

Relaxing vacation

The staff was the best. I appreciated the quiet and the privacy of a condo type arrangement. My favorite part was sitting on the patio, reading and watching the beautiful sunset. I felt quite safe.I used the free shuttle to the grocery and to the plaza in Santa Fe. Though it was only a few blocks away, there was the hill to climb back to thr condo. I wish the shuttle ran later in to the evening. Next time I will rent a car, but all was well.

Worn and outdated

Southwestern theme is nice, but outdated and worn out furniture. Didn't want to touch it. Room could use a makeover, but each room is different, with different owner (condo). The complex is cute, and quiet. Office hours and breakfast room are not open early. Has potential, but needs a makeover. Until then not worth the money.

Not far from downtown area. Some hills. An overlook across the street from the complex.
