I have a witness.

Please don't stay here EVER !!! Police station just down the road...... police hound you continuously....... ride around and around hotel and try to pick up the southern women.... you can't even go out to smoke without 4 or 5 of them stopping to ask you what you are doing.... can't get out of the car without one zooming up behind you and stopping and watching.... you have to "hide" in your room to get away......

Overall the room was nice, with 2 exceptions! The toilet was ridiculously low to the floor! And the towels were very dingy - they should have been thrown away, or recycled as cleaning rags.

Dining tip: In Hotel

Do not eat at the Restaurant - very inexpensive, but also very, very greasy food, with no flavor.

Stuck in Espanola

We got stuck in a snow storm and was forced to stay in Espanola. We had our dog and kids with us and wanted someplace that everyone was happy. The hotel took our dog at no extra charge, they had a bowling alley and a casino. They also had room service, internet, and the front desk person was very friendly. I was also able to wash our laundry down the hallway, being we were not prepared for an extra night, that was really nice! The beds were extremely comfortable, which was important because I have a hard time sleeping at hotels. We would definately stay here again. Very affordable. Pleasantly suprised. :)

Cities of Gold

This hotel needs some updating! The furniture is older, but the rooms were clean and all personell was very nice. We arrived in Lamy, took a shuttle bus to Santa Fe. In the hotel description it states that they have a shuttle bus that could take us from Santa Fe to our hotel. I called the hotel about picking us up and they said that they no longer had a shuttle. So we had to call a cab and they charged us $60.00 to take is tp our hotel!!! Needless to say I was very upset! I talked to the manager and he said that we could get a credit on our hotel bill. I kept asking him about it and on the day we left to come home, he had credited our bill. I was very thankful! The shuttle came to pick us up from the hotel and took us to the Buffalo Thunder, a sister hotel. After we waited for a few minutes at this hotel, then they would take us into Santa Fe. So I guess we got to ride a shuttle after all but no like they advertised!

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

Go to the plaza in Santa Fe. They have Indians sitting here selling wares that they have made. They explained that they have people check on them to make sure they are really making their jewelry. This is how most of them make their money!!!
