Great hotel at a good price

The location doesn't really matter to me, because I always drive all over creation when I travel, so being right off the freeway is a plus. It was a very clean and comfortable room that I was able to check into at 7 a.m., very welcome since I had been driving all night. My only concern is the security light that was on right outside my window. No amount of black paper and duct tape would have kept the light out of my room. I've decided this is where I will stay every time I'm in Albuquerque from now on.

It's literally down the block from the hotel, and it's some of the best BBQ in town.

Comfortable place, convenient location

Quick access to I-40 & I-25, not far from Uptown. Safe area. Nothing fancy but certainly enough for an extended stay - kitchenette, laundry facility. Well maintained and with friendly staff.

albuquerque stay

Hotel had nice curb appeal, but needs some real hotel amenities. It did not have a chair in the room, and what hotel doesn't provide ice????

I like to be able to cook my meals

There is a Whole Foods about a mile away, and the kitchenette that comes with the room allowed me to cook most of my meals while I was there (about 5 days). The rooms weren't the best or most clean, but the kitchenette made me feel more at home. For the price you can't beat it. (40-45/day) The staff was friendly.

Don't bump the price higher SubExtStay, and you'll...

Don't bump the price higher SES, and you'll hang onto my business. I've never written a review here before, but I have stayed here multiple times and have been more than satisfied with the location, cleanliness and comfort.SES provides. If the price is any higher than the deal I got, I take my business elsewhere, as there are cheaper alternatives, that may not be as nice, but are certainly cheaper and acceptable. Amenities are moderate and need that special something, but if you know going in to bring your own ground coffee and filters, toiletries (unless you like the sliver of soap and conditioning shampoo they provide) and kleenex (or just use the provided toilet paper), you'll do better than surviive. Albuquerque has its rough patches, but this is in an OK location. The crack /heroin hures go elsewhere cheaper. Most tenants are respectful of noise & privacy concerns, and the management does not tolerate late disturbances of any sort. I'm talking about other less desirable lodging locations here, just to tell you what to be aware of when looking for short-term budget ABQ digs. I'm only staying a night or two usually. Some weeklies are a better deal, but don't do short-term rentals.
