OKAY
I travel globally for work however this stay was a transition from one home to anotherin NJ, I would rate this place a 2 star. I know the area and selected this hotel on price and proximity to work. I though it was a true Plaza however it's not. The area is very safe, great gym, Retro Fitness across the street. Close to very good sandwich shops across the street. Food in Hotel is not good. My room was clean but the bed was not comfortable. It's an older hotel. If you can get it for 80 or less book it anything else, try somewhere else. I would stay here again only in a pinch...

STAY AWAY! NEGATIVE STARS!
This place is a dump, worn and shabby and the attitude of most of the staff reflects the managing of this ' hotel" . The bed and pillows were hard as a rock, the shower had no water pressure and the room overlooked the NJ turnpike. For the price the room was dated and unappealing. We were walking into the horrible buffet that is offered with the room in the morning and we were greeted by the hostess who said' you will go no further unless you show me your buffet tickets !'I thought she wanted to fight me! once we got past her the 'buffet was a joke in every respect. Lousy food and coffee and small amounts of it to choose from to boot! Then we were told we had to leave the buffet area at around noon, in a nasty way of course. the 'wait staff put a jar with the words 'TIPS' on the bar and then stood there so the people who were being herded out had to walk by as they stared at you!!! I make none of this up. .Please go elsewhere.

Careful. It's an old hotel
This hotel is old and very overpriced. I used Orbitz to book for a suite with a jacuzzi, only to get there and be told that I couldn't even get a room ith a king sized bed, but rather double beds and a smoking room with dirty carpets and no refrigerator.

BED BUGS
Found Bedbugs in our bed about a week after staying there and they would not admit that they could even possibly have bedbugs much less refund my room expense or pay for the extermination. I am filing a lawsuit against them now. The shuttle is also a joke and they are renovating the hotel now so you will be waking up to hammering and sawing at 8:00 A.M. Monday through Friday. They had just begun in July 2011. Stay Away.

second rate hotel
[...] This hotel was rated [...] to be a three star hotel or better, it is not even close. One reason we chose the meadowlands was not to stay in new york where it would cost to much. We would use the free shuttle service of the hotel to get us to our bus stops and pick us up from our bus stops when we would leave New York. The hotel considers their free shuttle as they advertise to be used when they deem fit not when you need it. I was told when I booked the hotel that the shuttle would pick us up from port authority bus stop in New York. When we arrived I called the hotel and asked to be picked up. The hotel responed by saying that they do not pick up in new york, which is only twenty minutes from the hotel. Lie #1. So we spent 25 dollars on a cab ride to the hotel first day hadn't even checked in yet. Checked in to hotel and beds were hard as a rock, no joke, and they have installed new extreme fast flush toliets but did not put an air vent in the pipe line. So when you flushed the toilet the pipes started huming and howling like an air siren, we video taped the exerpience and showed it to the desk clerk and they thought it was funny. Not funny at 3:00 a.m.. Next day we wanted to use the shuttle after getting back from New York and they stated that the shuttle is once again out of service because they put the van in for maintenance, so shuttle service was suspended. When you call this hotel for information once you are checked in they make you feel like you are inconvienancing them, they are short on the phone, and not curtious. This is a basic hotel, sleep, eat, and leave, not worth our visit. I was expecting the hyatt quality but this hotel failed.

Sightseeing tip:
Not Applicable
the guided tour bus in new york, the grey tour line that takes you to the big rock is not worth the 300 dollars you spend on the ticket. the new york subway is cheaper and more efficient.

Comfortable, Clean Hotel
The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the complimentary morning breakfast was good. The hotel management could improve on the following: the sink in the room had low water pressure; and the reservation/checkout staff were pleasant, but should be more knowledgeable about giving directions to get to the hotel, and how to get from the hotel to New York City.

Very nice hotel near NYC
We went to visit our son in nyc for the weekend. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was a very nice surprise to get a free breckfast in the am. The hotel staff--very pleasant, and helpful. We also like the shuttle van to get the bus to nyc. Mostly, we appreciated that it was very quiet at night, and we were able to sleep. The mattress was not comfortable-too hard.

The hotel was a big savings compared to staying in NYC, and close drive to the bus or train to NYC.

Great Location
Last minute booking for my daughter and I so we could be close to Meadowlands for JETS Monday night game. Was not expecting much and came away pleasantly surprised. Arrived a couple hours early and staff was great in finding us a room that was ready and allowing us to check in early. Room very clean and maid service excellent. Didn't even know about the free breakfast, great surprise and good too. Best of all it was literally a two minute drive to stadium. Will definitely stay there again for future events.

Comfortable and clean
Hidden on Meadowlands Parkway. Quick check-in and check-out. My boyfriend and I were only there for a night because of his business trip but it was comfortable and quiet even though by the highway. Close to shopping, dining and a movie theater. Only thing I would change is the amount of channels that they have (as silly as that sounds) especially if you're hanging around the hotel and you can't get the shows you're used to. I guess it's pretty good if that's my only complaint! :)
