La Quinta Inn & Suites Secaucus Meadowlands

i was told that they would hold a non smoking room for me - but when i arrived at 2AM after a wedding - i was told that there was only a smoking room left - and it was the last room! to make things worse, they told me that i never requested the non smoking room. how awful. my eyes burned that night in the acrid room. I had to call corporate HQ about this one. After a few strong calls, they finally made good on the stay.

This is not the nicest hotel, but it's worth it for its price and location.

Spent two days here and couldn't be happier. The price was great, the breakfast was definitely delicious and for 8 bucks you could hop a bus right into the city. Would stay here again!

Hotel was fine, but storm Sandy came and we run away.

The hotel appearance was ok. The bus into New York City was close to the hotel, on time and got into the city in about 20 minutes. The staff however was rude! We got conflicting stories about the shuttle which only went to the train station and not Newark airport. We were told twice to just come down to the lobby and the shuttle would be available. When we got down there they said " do you have a reservation?" When i told the girl what we had been told she said" i dont't know who told you that but it is wrong. We do not have a shuttle available." I looked at the name tag of the person standing next to her and said she did. They just shrugged and walked away leaving us to call a cab which cost us $ 70.00. Also we had a cell phone and a charger disappear form our room and when we reported it they said it wasn't in lost and found and there was nothing they could do about it. When we checked in we were not given a non smoking room that we had requested. They said we got the last room and had to switch rooms the next morning. All they could say about it was that they were busy!

I went with my brother to NYC. We stayed at this hotel because of the proximity & the amenities. The bus stop is right across the street, and drops you off right near Times Square. If you fly into NJ, the hotel shuttle will pick you up, but you have to get on a subway for a few minutes. The hotel, which has 9 floors only has 2 elevators. There's only 1 computer in the lobby. Minor inconveniences for the quality, cleanliness, and location of the hotel. The free breakfast is outstanding,not just for the extensive selection of hot & cold foods, but the spacious guest dining area. Would definitely return if we were in the vicinity.

This was the nicest place we've ever stayed! The hot breakfast buffet was a nice surprise, the staff friendly and helpful, the room(s) were clean, nicely decorated, and roomy. The large bathroom was especially nice! I would rate this a 5 star and definitly would go back if I were ever in the area again.

It was great I went for a weekend with my friend. Thestaff was nice. breakfast was good they have a big buffet there panket are not all the best but hey is free so it is what it is but everything else was alwsome. bus going to NY are right there ready to take you to Ny it feel pretty save. I love it i would stay again there plust there so many store you can go shop in there walking distance.. :-)

I noticed many of the reviews mention the shuttle to the PA but don't mention how to get back. To return, buy a ticket at the NJ Transit booth in the Port Auth and go to gate 231. The hotel is close to several big chain type stores (tjmax, toysrus, sports auth), and a couple of good restaurants. Internet was a little spoty, but the room was large and clean. Free breakfast was very good.

A/C unit in my room would make a loud noise when it would come on and go off.
