Excellent place to stay!

The staff was over-the-top nice and made sure we were doing well and had everything we needed. We stayed in NJ and commuted to NY each day. The bus stop was across the street, a Wal-mart was just down the road and restaurants were all in walking distance. It was perfect! An inside pool would have made it perfect. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely stay there again if we go to NY.

Great location, Helpful Staff

We arrived early and the staff was very efficient. They helped us get a bus schedule and helped us catch a bus to the city. Free parking is another benefit as parking is expensive in the NYC area. The best place to stay on your next trip to NYC.

Great hotel for New York City

The Hampton Inn, Secaucus was an excellent hotel for our recent holiday to New York City. The bus to NYC leaves from across the street - $7.90 return ticket and it only takes 20 mins! The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of restaurants in the area and a 24 hour walmart is a 5 min walk away. For anyone wanting to visit Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty - we hadn't pre-booked tickets but got a taxi from the hotel to the Liberty Park ferry landing in New Jersey, the taxi cost $45 dollars but there was no queue and we were able to take the Battery Park ferry to NYC after the visit. There was 3 adults staying in a double double room and there was plenty of space. The complimentary breakfast was excellent - juices, cereals, yoghurts, selection of breads, make your own waffles, also a different selection of hot food daily.  I'd definitely stay here again

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

Take the open top bus in New York - it's great for getting the history of New York City and getting an overview of the city. A metrocard is also great for getting around - uses on buses and subway.

A Good Value

This hotel has reasonable rates, especially compared to NYC, with convenient bus service to Port Authority across the street. Breakfast included makes it a very decent value. Rooms were clean and staff friendly.

Great place to stay near NYC

Staff was very friendly and helpful.Room was spacious and comfortable, good bed, selection of pillows, frig, microwave, coffee maker. Continental and hot breakfast included. Bus stops across the street - 15 minutes to NYC Theater District. No restaurant in hotel but lots of eateries in shopping plaza across the street. Area felt very safe. Free shuttle to close by shopping and to Secaucus Junction. Would definitely stay there again.

Good experience

Good things: Bus stop right across the street for east access. Friendly staff (they helped us with the bus schedule and directions for our car when our GPS broke). Comfortable beds. Quit place. Nice lobby. Big Bathroom. Not so liked: Smaller room for everything that was in there. No view. I can't say anything about free breakfast because did not get eat there, but there was fresh coffee at 1 am when I got back from NYC. Good place for the price!
