Affordable Newark Airport hotel near New York City
Holiday Inn Newark Airport is located across from Newark Liberty International Airport and less than 30 minutes from midtown Manhattan. Got the job done...
This was very clean and easy to access, but beds were stiff, halls were loud, and road noise was noticeable.

Not bad for a quick overnighter
The Bed was comfortable and the choice of Hard or Soft pillows was a good tough. The staff were friendly and it is a shot shuttle ride from the airport. Coffee and maker were supplied but with the lack of a mini bar, there was no milk.

Near the Airport
Unfortunately, it was miserable weather and the window in my room had a pretty good leak and the dripping kept me up all night. Front desk staff for the most part was friendly and helpful. However not all were. Trying to navigate back to hotel from surrounding areas was a challenge as the GPS does not pick up the address given. For a sales person, this is important....restaurants, food market not convenient to get to and area is traffic heavy. If you are OK with staying in your room at night...good to go.

5 Star Quality at a 4 Star Price
Wonderful experience!! Pleasant and accommodating staff. Clean and well kept room that was nicely sized. Liked the onsite security in the parking area. The onsite restaurant wasn't bad either. The restaurant staff was very pleasant and professional, the food was good and it was competitively priced. When my husband and/or I find ourselves again in the NY/NJ area we will definitely stay at this hotel and we will recommend it to our friends and colleagues.

Looks great, tough experience
We all know that you get the worst rooms when booking indirectly and this was no different, spent first night on the smoking floor in a smoking room. I can generally deal with smokers but this was bad! I got moved into a non-smoking room by the elevator and ice machine, woke up with water on bathroom floor from a ceiling leak, reported it but not addressed. Rooms look great, in-house restaurant (charged $15 same bkfast which is usually free), infrastructure seems to be crumbling, usual challenges getting across Rte 1/9..

Fantastically fabulous stay
Due to this hotel being a chain and was a holiday inn i do have to say i was not expecting what i saw. The hotel room was exactly what I expected & very clean. The staff at the check-In desk were very polite and nice when I checked-in & out as well. Everything was very accessible. The room was spotless which to my surprise was cleaner than most other hotels I have stayed.. Over all I enjoyed my stay as well as my guests and we are planning to stay there again soon. I love the element of surprise in a good way.. I definitely would and have recommended this hotel to others
