Pleasant stay
Very close to the waterfront in Jersey city. You get a beautiful view of the NY skyline in the day and esp during the night. Can't see the skyline from hotel room though. 5 mins walk to the New Port path station which is a major plus plus. The only bad part was there was no complimentary breakfast. Oh yeah, they have started charging $10 a day for parking.

Perfect location
The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They let us park in the lot long after check out and grab a bite to eat before we had a room to charge it to. The rooms were very nice and had all the comforts of home. The location was also perfect for what we needed it for.

Our stay experience
First off, we came from Illinois to visit Jersey city and New York. It's four of us in the road trip and first time visiting the East coast. We arrived at the hotel at 12noon and we immidiately get the accommodation and early check in. The stuff was very friendly and gave us a room in the 4th floor. Our first impression was very good, the room has a modern style living from the kitchen to the bathroom. My kids was all exited and with the price we pay is all worth it. There's also a view of the big apple and the Hudson river. The Path train is just a 5min walk. This is the train going to WTC in NYC. It was a great experience and we will definitely book here again the next time we visit. Clean and quite environment and it's very family friendly! I recommend this place if you want to relax and escape a city life in your vacation.

NYC or bust
I booked a room here and it was well worth the cost. The weather sucked, but the hotel made up for it. I was traveling along and I'm in my late 20's. I didn't know what to expect but the staff was professional, my room was spacious, the commute to Manhattan was literally a 20 minute commute from the hotel door to 14/6th ave in manhattan and the best part about it was the Newport Mall/Grocery Store (to buy food for my kitchen in my room) were literally a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel if you stroll. I will return and stay again!

Good, clean place to stay
I stayed at the Candlewood Suites at Jersey City for just a night for business. The suite was clean & big. Had a nice big desk, living area with a couch etc., a separate bedroom w/ a nice comfy bed and a good size bathroom. Had a nice kitchenette too, with a fridge, oven & microwave w/ utensils. The location was great, close to the Path train. The few negatives were - $10/night for parking which I wasn't aware of & no real curtains for the windows besides the see through ones. Those minor ones aside, great location & a good place to stay.

awesome hotel but not sure for the value since i am from the south and the price seemed kind of high; but since right across the river from NY, it is probably reasonable.
