Its ok
Room was large but empty. Housekeeping excellent. Brought me a new hair dryer in minutes of my call. My room key kept deactivating and long lines to get a new one. Staff didn't seem to be happy with their job. Best part was the location right on the beach. The outdoor pool is small and no chairs available when I got there at 11am

Fun but weird
I enjoyed my stay but was bothered with the dirty bed sheets that I asked hotel to change and make on my first morning being there. The room was thoroughly cleaned but the sheets were not changed. My husband and I were a little bothered because I received a new card because I misplaced mine and he opened a new card with Tropicana, neither staff informed us on setting up our pins or how to check on any incentives we may have from gambling. We didn't realize it until after attending the Trump to gambling getting coupons incentives once we opened a card & after spending a certain amount at the casino we receive free dining. However, I did love the valet service and bell services very friendly and efficient on time.

Memorial Day Weekend
The location was perfect and right on the boardwalk. Many shops, restaurants, bars, casino playing area located inside the hotel which was great. Casino dealer even taught me how to play on the table when he didnt have a crowd which I thought was nice. Bed was very hard, old school tv in the room, but I would much rather take all the hotel has to offer over an up to date hotel room so I didnt think it was a big deal. (bed was managable but oddly enough had very comfy pillows). Was able to check in early which was nice and free starbucks was a nice perk. Nightlife was great and kareoke bar was fun, even has a disco bar for an older crowd. Will definitely stay again!

Best to book online, from when I started researching which hotel to stay at until time of booking it always had cheaper rates online rather than calling to find out rates at the actual hotel

Tropicana Atlantic City Review
Although I stay in hotels for business every week, I don't provide reviews for many, as most are either good or very good to excellent (I provide reviews for the excellent ones). I stayed at the AC Trop for a weekend night because I wanted to enjoy a little R & R. Now I understand that the casino hotels are extremely pricey because of their location to everything worth doing, but for $300/night I expected to enjoy at least some semblance of amenity or at the very least, a very nice room. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Check-in was a snap, but Hillary, the check-in attendant, was not at all friendly or offered any additional info such as a mere question of 'can I answer any questions for you' or options for upgrades, or anything else. When you are staying at a resort, this is expected, not an option. Upon entering the room, I noticed that the wall paper was peeling off of the walls, along with a loud, clearly old A/C unit that struggled to work properly. The shower head pressure was very good, but that was it, and for me, added that. The bed was not comfortable at all, and the pillows were almost painfully 'bouncy'. I am not a fussy hotel guest, but I guess I just expected at least as nice a room as I stay in for business during the week. This was not the case at the AC Trop. I guess my expectation may have been too high at this price point for a casino hotel on the boardwalk, but I am pretty sure that I won't stay at the Trop again. The clincher and icing on the cake was that I asked for a late check-out (normal checkout is 11:00am and I wanted to check out at noon) because one of my family members is disabled, and it sometimes takes longer to get them ready the next morning. This was not an option, and when I asked the front desk, they simply said that they were not allowing any late checkouts for anyone. If I was not so tired from spending my money at their casino the night before (I actually won!), I probably would have pursued it and asked as to why, but I was just not in the mood and knew after that discussion, I was never going to stay at the Trop AC again. I just did not want to spend an arm and a leg for basically a hotel room in a prime location...maybe next time I'll try Resorts or some other place in that price range. Not recommended.

I thought that overall this was a nice hotel. There was plenty of activity, there is an imax theater, a comedy stop. Plenty of restaurants and bars. Overall the location was good and the casino was nice. The only thing that I did not like was that even though I booked vacation early, they gave me a handicap accessible room. Which was fine, except for the shower. Because it was wheelchair accessible, the water would flow everywhere, as there were multiple drains through the bathroom. I felt that i had to muddle my way through a wet bathroom and even felt compelled to clean up the water for room service. That portion just sucked...

Overnight stay in AC
Room was large and clean. Staff at check-in were polite, knowledgeable and accomodating. King Bed was comfortable, ocean view was beautiful. Room was a bit pricey for the quality (average/3-star/tiny out-dated TV, etc.) but that's to be expected for AC on a Saturday night. Only complaint about the room is that half of the electrical outlets didn't work, including the ones in and near the bathroom, which meant we were unable to use hair dryer and other styling devices, so that was a bit inconvenient. Otherwise everything else was fine, would stay here again.
