NOT THRILLED AT ALL
Both my girlfriend and myself were very disappointed with the room. We felt like we slept in an ashtray. I am a smoker, my girlfriend is not and I couldn't stand it. I have stayed there before a couple of times and this visit put me off staying there again.

Unfantastic
Overall, our stay at the Showboat Casino & Hotel wasn't happy. The water from the bathtub was dirt, it was yellow! and we had to waited three hours to shower. The water from the sink drain very slow and the staffs are not very friendly. We called for to request for late check out and they said to call back in the morning. When we called back in the morning at 8:00 A.M, they said that late-check out are no longer available, I mean....how am I supposed to know what time late-check out supposed to be??? But beside the hotel, everything else is good. The view from the hotel is very nice and the Boardwalk is beautiful.

Not a good place to stay, unsafe outside
The room was clean, average. The place was in a bad location you did not dare go outside. We should have stayed in the central part of AC near Ceasars. The restrauants were closed in the hotel, so we had to eat at the small cafe and that was horrilbe the salad was brown lettuce and wet.... Would never recommend to stay there, was glad to leave early the next morning.

NOT HAPPY
They did not have the room ( I booked a room on a high floor, facing the water) [...], I had to change rooms the second day to get what I paid for up front. I was very unhappy. The Hotel check -in person was a total non-professional that raised his voice at me.I wasted my time and money.

Very bad experience
[...]I am just dissapointed with this hotel. It seems that they want all the money they can get from you.On top of that, we didn't see people winning in machines. looks like they soak up your money. I don't know if other casinos are doing the same, but wouldn't go back there for nothing!

Never Again!!!!!!
Horrible trip. Booked room for the weekend. Sat night somehow the hotel paperwork got screwed up. They threw out all our belonging in the room since the maids paperwork said we checked out. After hours of making calls to security, front desk, guest services, housekeeping, you name it. They said the only thing they could do was offer a $25 credit in thier gift shop. Seriously DONT GO.

"Happy Birthday JC!!!!!!!!"
My husband and I travel (VERY) frequently as a couple. This is (ONLY) the second hotel in our 30+ years of traveling together that we have been disappointed and so upset with our stay. This shows that we are not fussy AT ALL. However, if we had to pick what was most important to us in our travels, we would both agree and say that our room accommodations was at the top of our list, no matter if our stay was one night or 21 nights. And, needless to say, I take alot of time choosing our accommodations. This particular weekend was very special for us, as it was my husband's birthday. When we arrived at our room, we were completely taken aback and found everything that we have indicated and checked above. The worst part is that we were transfered three (3) times into what we were promised to be upgraded rooms and we are sad to say that each room was worst than the next. We decided to at least try the food IN the hotel (breakfast at the Mansion Cafe), and that was a total disaster. The food was cold, not as we ordered and the waiter was not only rude, but we could hardly understand a word he said. We are happy we got the opportunity to express our feelings on this page as it was all I could think about when we got home.

Not Impressed
We were not impressed. After checking in and spending most of our time at another Casino we went up to our room around 1AM to find dried blood stains on our blanket. It took about 20 mins to finally get a hold of someone. We dialed the house keeping number and it just rang. We called the operator and were transferred to housekeeping and left in a queue hold. Called the operator again and finally got the front desk (the front desk number put you into an automated message) where we were informed that since 11pm housekeeping is handled by the front desk. It took 1 hour and a call back to get a new blanket, which seemed to have magic marker marks on it. We also noticed mold in the bathroom grout and on the shower curtain. Some of the waitresses were rude as well. All in all not a great stay.
