Would Try It Again!
Overall, an enjoyable experience! Be mindful the hotel is under renovation so expect a gew items broken or outdated. Front desk staffs crew is very professional and well trained.

The ShowBoat is a nice hotel. My room was average at best and had several things that were disappointing. Airconditioning would not cool room down at all regardless of setting, bathroom has mold and hair in the tub and on the floor from previous guest, TV was broken and would only show screen in a variety of different colors. I was only in the room to sleep and to shower for the most part and this is why I did not complain and also knew from staff it was sold out and I was not going to get a new room. I am a very seasoned traveler and have stay in Atlantic City for many years. I hope you read this and take appropriate steps to fix the listed items as the next guest might not be so understanding. Thanks for the opportunity to write in and let you know how my stay was.

Pleasant Stay
room was lovely and clean. Nothing spectacular. Continental breakfast would have been nice and a blanket on the bed or in the closet. The shower was only warm with little pressure. But for the price and convenience, i would definately stay there again.

Fully Armoured
couples getaway
When you first walk in, it appears to be glitz and glam. The front desk clerk was very courteous. We got checked in quickly. Once to our room floor maids were cleanin up other rooms and greeted us. Once in our room we were pleased until we really evaluated it. Carpet burns throughout the room and appeared to be burns on the tub as well. The room door needs to be replaced seeing as though there was a piece at the bottom missing. It needs a little makeover. We enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn't stay again unless it was a free room stay. We did go to the spa which we enjoyed, we received a couples massage. I would do that again. There aren't too many fun slot machines, if you are into the video game type ones, maybe three and one was down. Johnny Rockets was delicious and staff was great. The Freeze bar serves a $25 margarita with a corona in it. My husband and Iweren't able to finish it, although tasty. Only thing I probably would have different was brought the children although there is nothing here for them to do.

Nice Place to Stay & Play
We chose Showboat based on their pet-friendly policy. It costs a bit more to bring along a pet, but sometimes it's just worth it. Our pet-friendly room had laminate floors (not carpet) which was perfect. The gambling floor and restaruants are nice an bright. Overall good experience.

Off season getaway
I got very good rates per night because I traveled during off season when it was heavily discounted rates so can't complain. Only problems was with the lady at the Guest Services who was not helpful and did not help nicely to switch to the room we wanted in spite of availability of room we wanted..
