The largest standard guest rooms at Atlantic City's first casino
The first and oldest casino in Atlantic City, Resorts Atlantic City opened in 1978 and recently added the Rendezvous Tower with new guest rooms. Its Boardwalk location is a short walk to the rides and arcade on the piers. On the third floor, a retractable glass roof reveals a heated indoor/outdoor pool and party-sized hot tub, free to guests. Stretch out for a suntan on the ocean-view sundeck. A casino, two theaters, a handful of restaurants and a 24-hour cocktail lounge keep choices varied but not overwhelming.
Highlights
- Largest standard guest rooms in Atlantic City inside the new Rendezvous Tower
- Boogie Nights weekend dance club with a 70s and 80s theme holds three 2010 Atlantic City Nightlife Awards
- Free indoor/outdoor pool with retractable glass roof
- Spa, salon, and health club (fees apply)
Rooms
Dating to the hotel's beginnings, Ocean Tower rooms have simple, light wood furnishings, bright bed coverings and oversized showers. Notably newer, Rendezvous Tower rooms are the largest standard guest rooms in town complete with Art Deco style, twin sinks, a makeup mirror and makeup desk. Find panoramic views and jacuzzi bathtubs in the Rendezvous suites. Avoid a line with electronic checkout from all rooms, plus premium channels, pay movies and Internet access (fees apply).
Features
Guests find action everywhere they turn from this high-rise Boardwalk locale on the beach. Dining highlights American favorites (steak, burgers, pizza, and casual, beach-inspired seafood) with Italian and Asian restaurants tossed in the mix. A daily fee grants guests access to the health club, home to a cardio fitness room, steam room, sauna, whirlpool, lockers and showers. Valet parking is available (fees apply).

Horrible!
This was one of the WORST stays in AC I have ever had. The room had bugs on the bathroom floor, the room was dingy, and the bed was SOLID AS A ROCK!! Customer service left much to be desired when I called complaining about the room and they refused to upgrade and only offered to put me into another uncomfortable room. As they say, you get what you pay for and it's DEFINITELY worth the money to stay somewhere else even if it costs a little bit more in the long run.

Disrespected
We called ahead to ask when we could check in. We were told to try around 2:00p.m. We waited until 4:30 p.m. and were told there were no rooms available and check back in two hours. After 20 minutes of excuses and games it was obvious I was not leaving the counter with out a room.

one night stay
the hotel location was just as suspected, but the room had cigarette ashes on the floor, dust on the tv unit, ripped curtains, visible stains on the chairs. The best part about the room was the mini refrigerator. All previous trips that I have booked have been very enjoyable

Don't walk away.... RUN!!!
The pictures online at Resorts website did not look fabulous but they didn't look that bad either. They looked a little outdated but ok just the same. Believe me they must be fake! Orbitz rated this hotel as 3 stars but the Ocean tower was not even close to a 3. It was an old, moldy smelling, dirty, falling apart, stained, broken down ruin. Our first room overlooked a roof top covered in garbage, cigarette butts, dozens of broken beer bottles (presumably thrown from rooms above as all the windows opened fully with no safety features or screens)!!! It also had a huge spot light shining against the wall and our window. We asked for a better room and were told no, we insisted and we were given one other option on another floor. They however would not let us look at it until we insisted they get a manager or let us look at it before we would agreed to move rooms. Well, it was only 10% better but we took it. We had no choice as everything was full. After watching several other people complain at the desk about their rooms we knew we were not alone in our opinion. This was somewhat comforting. We were told that the Rendezvous Tower was newer and had much better rooms but was always full. This place is no better than a road side motel room from the 50's now full of drug dealers and meth addicts. The only thing missing was the magic fingers massage beds to drop a quarter into. They need to rate the towers at this place separately if indeed the Rendezvous tower has such better rooms. We did hear this hotel is in bankruptcy proceedings, not sure if that is true. We made a point since we were stuck there to not spend one penny in the hotel. We ate, drank and gambled elsewhere. We refused to give them any more of our money.

The good the bad and really ugly
This had to be the worst trip we ever had. The buffet was only open on weekends (only 1/3 open and the food was terrible. Waitresses on the casino floor were almost non-existant and the only open restaurant was over priced and the staff was rude!! The casino was non-smoking. Never going back to Atlantic City

Unclean room
We stayed at the Resortsand booked a smoking room [...]. We were appalled with the cleanliness of the room. The carpet has several large stains, the furniture had dents, the walls had cracks, the bathroom tub was black, the toilet did not flush properly and the bathroom ceiling was brown with mold hanging down. It was absolutely disgusting and unhealthy. I now have bed bug infestation. I cannot believe anyone would be happyin staying in such a filthy hotel.

Great room; lackluster service.
Arrived at 1200 and was checked in to a quiet room overlooking the ocean. Went to dinner at the Buffet at 1930. Was complete with the meal before a waitress even noticed I was there. Other staff saw I was not being helped and failed to offer service. Not until I asked to see a manager did anyone offer to take my drink request (drink arrived during dessert). Talked to the buffet manager and she seemed indifferent about the problem. Went to my room and decided I wanted to fill out a customer comment card; but there was not one in the room. Went to the front desk counter to see if they had any customer comment cards. The young lady working the desk rolled her eyes and said that there should be one in my room and called for the next customer before I could even tell her that there was not. Giving benefit of the doubt I went and rechecked my room (no card). Returned to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. The manager listened to the problems I had encountered and said he apologized and called housekeeping to send up a card. After three hours of waiting for the card (it is now 2300) I decided to go to sleep. At check out I explained to the day manager what had happened and she looked at me funny. I asked what the problem was and she said the Resorts had stopped using customer comment cards over a year ago. The something missing that would have made my stay more enjoyable is customer service. The entire time I was there the staff made me feel I was imposing on them for being there. This is the worst stay I have had at a Casino site (Las Vegas, Atlantic City, overseas). I would hope that this was a one time problem, but based on the lack of response I would warn others.

expected more from a casino
not impressed with the room. considering how much it cost. the bathroom had a shower that had no curtains, the flooring was just tiles with a drain. when you did take a shower, it went all over the bathroom, since the sink and toilet were not sectioned off from the shower, everything got wet. the closet was too big, and the rest of the room was really small. front desk was person was nice.

Never Again
I do not reccomend checking in after dark as you must travel down what seems like the roughest part of the city to get to the hotel. From check in to check out staff was rude, condesending and didn't seem to care about the needs of their patrons. We were in the older section of the hotel. Carpet was dirty, everything was super dusty, and the bathroom was so disgusting, we didn't even shower. Thankfully we were only there one night. The only plus was when valet brought us our car so we could leave. If you provide your own transportation, I would use valet since the area is supervised. We will NEVER stay at this property again!! When I said something about the room, we were offered an upgrade to the newer rooms, for a fee that is!!
