I wouldn't stay there again

I thought the hotel staff on the phone (reservations, front desk, etc) were totally rude and unhelpful. I had to call 4 times to get my reservation sorted out and there were still issues when we checked in. I asked for someone from management at the front desk to call me back and no one ever called, that was 5 days ago. We all went to one of the bars at the casino one night and the waitstaff there and the bartenders acted like we were bothering them by ordering over-priced cocktails. Unless I go on someone's comp, I do not plan to stay there again.

"Worse Hotel in AC"

It was Christmas day and we are all packed to have a nice time in AC. We were intially excited when we saw the dynamic exterior light display of Harrahs as we are approaching the Hotel but then when we got there- we felt cheated as if someone had took Christmas away from us-----First of all when we got to the front lobby- everything looks outdated and the entire lobby/hallway smells smoky and rotten eggs/stench in the air. We arrived late ( 2 am) to check in and when we got to the front desk to register, the front desk person told us that the hotel's computers is down and we had to wait for 30 min and mind you I was expecting to go to bed and to lie down to stretch out but instead I was waiting in the lobby, standing and sitting on the floor ( no lobby chairs to be found)waiting for the computer to start up. After aboout 30-40 min when the computer came back to life, the front desk told us that they only have smoking rooms [...]. So when we got to our rooms, my two kids was covering their noses and coughing at times because inside our rooms the smoky stench was even worse than the hallway. Also the bath tub /shower gets flooded evertime somebody takes a shower and it would approx 10 min for the flooded tub water to go down. So I'm sorry but this would be the last time I would come to Harrah's -- very disappointed and disgusted.

Horrible Experience...Extremely Noisy!

Our experience at this Casino/Hotel was very disappointing. Our floor was so noisy, it was like we were trying to sleep in the middle of a party in Cancun! The room was dirty and it smelled so bad of cigarette smoke, even though it was a non-smoking floor. We tried reaching the front desk during the night, but the phone didn't even work. We ended up tracking down security around 3 am, and they did nothing about the extremely loud noise and smoking coming from other rooms. The walls in this hotel are so thin, you can hear entire conversations coming from other rooms. When we spoke to the manager to voice our concerns, we were told that the hotel is not responsible for the behavior of their guests...she then offered us breakfast but all we wanted to do was go home and wash the dirty smokey room smell off! I would encourage those who are not looking to be kept awake all night by partying college kids to stay at another hotel in Atlantic City!

Non Smokers Not Welcome

We reserved a non-smoking room for late arrival with a king bed. When we got to the hotel at 7:00 p.m. we waited in line for about 1 1/4 hour to check in. Then was told that there were NO non-smoking rooms available, even though my confirmation document stated "non-smoking with king bed, guaranteed for late arrival". This was my first and last stay at the Harrahs. Not a good place for those with a sensitivity to smoking or the smell of stale smoke.

poor experience

We had 3 rooms for 7 family members. Excessive noise (college age folks partying and arguing) in the hallways raged until 4:30am. The hotel made no apparent effort to solve the problem. The next day when the issue was raised, they're actual response was "That's the kind of crowd we get on Saturday nights!" It wasn't an apology, just a statement. They really didn't care about our discomfort and made that perfectly clear.

Skip this hotel

Incredibly disappointing. We stayed in a Harbor (more like horror) Tower room. The room smelled. It was a mixture of moldy, mildewy, stale smoke and dirty sweatsocks with high humidity thrown in. The air conditioner did not help, it only spewed out more humid/stinky air. **Beware if you have a mold allergy, cause the window frames were full of mold.. Our older teens were bummed when they found out "the Pool" was for over 21. I only looked at the pictures and did not read the fine print if there was any that the pool was for over 21. So off we went to the family fun center pool and arcade. Disgusting is the best word to describe the family pool. We could only take the pool for about 10 minutes, the mixture of urine and chlorine, coupled with the screaming kids and general mayham was nauseating. In general the hotel was dirty. The food lines, even just to get coffee in the morning were way too long and moved slow and there are not alot of options, which is bad because there's no where else to go unless you leave the hotel. Check-in lines? Bring a novel to read while you wait. Unless you're a high roller, preferred member (diamond or what ever they call it)you will be treated like a 2nd or 3rd class guest..The best thing about our stay was that it was only 1 night.

My worst trip ever

[...]described this hotel and their pool as unbelievable however failed to mention that families cannot use the pool you must be over 21. We were sent to a family pool on the 4th flr that was filthy, cold and absolutely disgusting. You had to walk through an 1 1/2 of dirty water to get to a seat or the pool. This was not only dangerous to walk on but unsanitary as there was floating food debris, clumps of hair and trash. I have never been so disappointed. The hotel is fine if you do not bring children. If you have children go anywhere else!
