Comfort Inn & Suites West Atlantic City

We stayed for one night. It was very close to the hotels in the boardwalk. It was clean inside the room but the carpet outside the rooms smell bad. Breakfast was simple and filling.

Nice place. Near Atlantic City proper. Rooms were clean and updated to modern standards, i.e., flat screen, microwave..all the goodies! Staff was pleasant, atmosphere was hectic. But hey, it's AC! Only difficulty is finding a parking spot on the grounds after late evenings. I understand that there were workers associated with Sandy staying as well...

I chose this hotel because it was much cheaper than staying on the strip. The drive was not far, less than a 10 minutes drive to get to the boardwalk. It was an average place. Right behind the hotel was a small beach. I would recommend choosing a room with the beach view. I did not get one, but it would have been nice to look out to the beach and possibly seeing the sunrise/sunset. The room and bed were small, but for the price I think it was a good value.

As we approached the hotel, we saw broken bottles, litter, cig. butts, dying plants, rotted carpeting. Paint trim in the room and in entire hotel was chipped, floors dirty. The room reeked of a musty, damp, dirty odor. The room we booked was unacceptable so we "upgraded" to a two room suite that had virtually no furniture in it, dirty shower curtain,floor not cleaned, cobwebs in window frame. Towels were thin and few in number. Although it is on the bay, they provided no towels, no chairs, no way to actually appreciate the water front. Breakfast was adequate. When we complained the room was minimally cleaned, shower curtain changed, new sheets put on the beds and a food basket left for us. While that was very nice, it is obvious that this is a property that is a business write off as no effort is put in maintaining it. We have stayed in this hotel twice in the past, 16 yrs ago, and 7 years ago and it WAS a fine property. No longer. I would advise everyone to avoid it as it is a health hazard.

Spent 4 nights here while pouring wine at Dave Matthews Band Caravan. Hotel looked nice when first built, but a bit fallen into disrepair. King bed was nice, but comforter had a small stain. A little dirty/buggy in the halls and old elevator. Breakfast was standard sub-par hotel breakfast (unnatural looking eggs, pasty OJ, good english muffins, doughy waffles). Nice bathroom, sink, shower, but toilet was old and not firmly installed. Old TV. Still, not a bad stay, a good location, and the price was right for this very expensive, packed weekend.

We arrived at 1:00 they said room would be ready in an hour...wasn't ready until 3 hours later....i reserved a non-smoking room and they gave us a smoking room....mold in bathroom...dirty beds....unhelpful staff

We only stayed at the hotel one night, so it's not like we really had time to walk around the hotel and see what all it had to offer. We got there 15 minutes before check-in and got our room right away without any hassle. We went for the beach at Atlantic City, which is only a few miles away, so it was nice to have something not right in the middle of all the commotion, plus we had a bay view so it was very similar to having an ocean-front hotel, but for half the price! The hotel was simple and clean; no reason for complaining.

Not a bad location. shuttle service to the trop was convenient. freindly staff on hand.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good and the linens were clean. The issue was that the air in the room (being generated by the air conditioner and window) seemed musty and there was mold on the walls because the moisture is trapped behind the wallpaper. The building needs to be repaired and they should update the air conditioning units.
