Boardwalk central with a taste of the Wild West

Monopoly fans get a kick out of the familiar Park Place and Boardwalk address of Bally's Atlantic City. Out the front door of this Atlantic City hotel, the rides, games, and carnival treats of the Boardwalk await in either direction. A Western flavor pervades the experience at Bally's Atlantic City, from a rousing Wild West theme in one of three casinos (a spectacle of 20-foot mountains, waterfalls, lightning, and storefronts designed as a rugged, old West town), to a chuck wagon station at the buffet. Unwind at the free, tropical pool in Claridge Tower.

Highlights
  • 18 dining options include a 24-hour coffee shop and Sammy Hagar's Beach Bar with live music, DJs, and a Tex Mex menu
  • Central location on the beach in the heart of the Boardwalk
  • Easy walking distance to The Pier Shops at Caesars, outlet stores and the amusement park rides on Steel Pier
  • Family Fun center with indoor pool, arcade, games and prizes
  • Private spa pool and hot tubs near the fitness center, spa, and salon (fees apply)
Rooms

Even the Classic Rooms with rather basic hotel decor include high-speed Internet access (fees apply), pay-per-view movies, video games, compact refrigerators, coffeemakers, bathroom heat lamps and safes. Deluxe Rooms at Bally's Atlantic City spark more interest with contemporary wall art and dark wood furniture.

Features
Smack dab in the center of the action along the Boardwalk, Bally's Atlantic City makes exploration on foot an easy feat. Shoppers need only take a few steps to The Walk, a collection of 100 name-brand outlet stores.
Casino

The main casino at Bally's Atlantic City offers twists on the traditional with $10 (USD) table games, simulcast race betting and rapid roulette with personal betting stations. At "theRidge," a rock-n-roll style gaming room, dueling pianos, DJs, drink specials and table games prevail. Join a daily tournament in Billy's Poker Room.

Spa

At the Spa at Bally's, indulge at the more private spa pool with inhalation room and hot tubs, adjacent to the spa, salon and fitness center (fees apply).

Hotel dissappointment

Even though the 2 double beds & smoking were confirmed beforehand 2 times, neither were available upon check-in. We ended up taking a king with rollaway since we were 3 adults & was told that the 1st choice would be available the next day after 1pm. Housekeeping obviously did not move the sofa before our arrival because there were numerous small trash items under it. Housekeeping also had not removed a used facecloth that was draped over the top of the shower curtain. Not sure why, but there weren't any writing paper or pens in the room. We have stood at this hotel before & if we come back to AC, we probably will stay here again to see if anything changes for the better, since everyone has bad days. Besides this hotel is on the boardwalk in the middle of everything that we look forward to: the beach, junk food eateries, shopping.

Really bad condition for too much!!!

Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. If for some reason you do decide to stay here... don't bother upgrading! My buddies and I all upgraded to the ruby rooms. They were all in bad condition but unfortunately, my room seemed to be the worst. It was missing a mirror, and the previous occupant had torn the smoke detector off the wall. The beds were uncomfortable and just in bad shape in general.... if a goat wanted to put sheets on a bed... that's pretty much what it would look like. The faucet handles in the bathroom weren't tightened down all the way and felt like they were going to come off. The concierge said the indoor pool was open, and it wasn't even filled with water. The food in the restaurants was overpriced and mediocre at best ($12 for 3 eggs, $9 for 2 pancakes). The only thing good about the place was that the casino was in good shape and we won the price of our rooms back. Thanks ol' Joe at the craps table!! We owe you one!

nothing to write home about

First off, we booked the "virtually free Atlantic city" for two nights with king bed. We were supposed to get an upgraded room in the Dennis Tower, free $20 room service credits, free parking and free access to the pool. We received none of the above. We were put in the claridge tower at first, after we waited in line for 1 hour to check in. Then after we complained we were put in the Bally's tower with double beds which was not that much better, older style tv and carpet because no more rooms in Dennis tower. Slots were very tight in all casinos there. If you like to play slots be prepared to lose. Stay away from Virginia city buffet, not that great. We also ate at johnny rockets. It was pretty good. This was our fist trip to Atlantic city and probably our last.

thought we had booked a stay at Bally's hotel...

and paid a premium nights price.....but instead had a room in the Claridge. (It is connected to Bally's.) Our room was behind the elevators and our view was a brick wall. When we checked in at Bally's, I was told $100 would be charged to my card for incidentals! After checkout and cleaning of the room, (if everything was OK), the $100 would be returned to my card. We are definitely going back to A.C. again but will not stay at Bally's.

Free Drink Coupons = Nasty Rude Bartenders

Everything was par at Ballys with the exception of the bartender at the "house" bar. It was probably a result of him not being tipped on the free drink coupons, however, I bore the brunt of his displeasure.
