Business trip

I was shocked that I had to check-in at a window standing outside at 12:45 in the morning, because the lobby was closed. I was very uncomfortable and had to keep looking over my shoulder. Also, the coffee maker was broken. I poured water in the reservoir. Instead the water drained down into the area with the coffee bag, resulting in no coffee in the pot.

Overall experience was not great

I normally stay at Best Western Hotels and was shocked at the quality of this particular location. Very, very dated rooms and not clean. The matresses and pillows smelled musty and the rooms had unclean odor. There were actually several bugs in the first room and we were moved a few days later as electrical problems in the room (the electrician actually said teh whole room needs to be rewired) how safe was this??? Housekeeping did not replenish necessities ie toilet paper and I had many trips to front desk. My personal opinion do not stay here, it really impacted my vacation.

price right for the discount

The hotel staff left lot to be desired. The women reception the day of checkin lied to me and kept lying to me to the point I was frustrated. However, when I arrived back the male receptionist who actually checked me in actually wanted to assist me. Side note do bring your own towels they weren't clean and the room smelt like the pool that old cholorine smell. The atmosphere was very quiet i liked that.

won't stay there again!

the room ac wasn't taking the humidity out of the room, then the ac went out all together and just the fan was running. it was 105 degrees in Raleigh that weekend. the mattress rim was so pronounced i grabbed hold of it to turn over and to pull myself out of the bed! the coffeepot was positioned so that there was no outlet to plug it into! we used the garbage can to put the tray next to the outlet behind the t.v. cabinet! the bathroom was so dimly lit that i took a shower in the dark! the key to the door didn't work so we had to use the manager's key throughout our stay. the diining room was so crowded with not enough chairs or tables for the continental breakfast so that by the second a.m. i decided to try sitting by the pool but was unable to do so because the gate wouldn't open! we most likely would never stay at that Best Western again. especially when the toilet stopped up and the desk person said we could come and get a plunger ourselves! they also would not take anything off the charge and we felt like we were ripped off. no one should have to pay that amount per night and not even get the service or be compensated for the inconvenience.

This was a trip to drop my son off at NCSU and we just needed a place to sleep for the night. Wish I could have stayed longer! HUGE room (was suite size - didn't know this until I got there), got 2 queen beds at no extra charge. Good breakfast. Nice decor. Loveseat and coffee table, fridge and microwave. Very comfortable beds. All at a GREAT price! Would definitely stay there again!

Interview Trip

I had a job interview in Raleigh, and I picked this hotel because of it's closeness to my interview. The guest were a bit loud, but they may have been because it was the weekend.

very dissapointed

I was very dissapointed in this stay at Best Western. I've stayed in your hotel in August of this year and was very happy and pleased, that's why I chose Best Western. But this time was terrible. The first room smelled so bad when we entered the room so we turned around and went back to the desk, it was better but not the best Western class. this room had a wet flood smell to it, so we made it through the night and checked out the on the next morning and I will never stay there again. the first rom had dust as if no one had been there and something on the walls very nasty looking, the coffee pot even had dust on it. to put it straight to the point it was just nasty. the restaurant was across the busy highway and there was no way I would eat anything there at thr hotel,

Excellent Room...

When I am traveling for business, my days are long and intense. Therefore, it is extremely important for me to have a clean, safe and quiet environment at the end of the day. This hotel does not have a lot of frills (not necessary for my business travel) but it was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Very convenient to the beltline, this was my second stay and will most likely become my regular location when in this city.

"good price, very nice rooms, top staff"

we (me, wife, & son) were in raleigh for my wife's induction into the college honor society as she is about to graduate from shaw university, so our trip was family/business. i went on line to book the room. decided to get additional room once there. i forget the young man's name at the desk but he was extra professional & helpful. we got the room next door for our son. a few of the other guests were having a really good (a little loud, sometimes) time but i don't hold the hotel accountable for them. the rooms were very nice. highly recommended!!
