What a great stay for a short get away! I would definitely recommend.

I travel to Charlotte frequently to visit an ailing parent in a nursing facility. I search various travel sites for the best packages that include airfare, rental car, and hotel. Normally I stay in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte but this time hotel packages were much higher than I wanted to pay. I found a reasonable price that included a This Hotel in another area of Charlotte. The Hotel is in close proximity to restaurants and stores and conveniently close to the highway. I checked in early afternoon, unpacked my bags and started to notice the suite was in bad need of a makeover. The phones were dirty and yellowed with age. The TV's in both the living room area and bedroom were from the 1990's (not Flatscreen) and had horrible reception. The remote for the TV in the living room had no cover on the battery compartment and they kept falling out. The furniture is old. I sat on the sofa and nearly sank into the floor. The kitchen has old fixtures including a stove top that had a burner that didn't work. There was opened boxes of food in the cupboards from previous people who'd stayed in the room. Two of the lamps in the living room did not light. The thermostat was not attached firmly to the wall. The bathroom vanity was so low, I had to bend over to use the sink to shave. The walls near the shower had numerous colors of patch ups on the walls. The grout around the tiles on the floor was filthy. Pieces of grout were missing from the molding and there were cracks in the ceiling light fixture. About 10 minutes after unpacking, I started to hear construction equipment outside my windows. I looked out and there were workmen with heavy equipment right outside. The large crane they were using to work on the outside of the building shaded my room during the day. They were there for the duration of my stay with stepladders and drink cups resting on the outside windows. I came back in afternoon to rest and the noise and backup beeping was so loud there was no way to catch a quick nap. Shortly after checking in, I complained to the front desk. I felt like I had been given a room that had never been renovated. I was told that the hotel had just been acquired by The company and that if I wanted to see other rooms in the hotel I could. But I would see rooms in the same basic condition. In summary, next time, I will pay the extra money to stay in a clean modern hotel that is not going through a renovation.

Overall the facility was fine, certainly worth the price over it's competitors. Unfortunately we had a room on the first floor adjacent to the side exit near the smoking area. The door closure device was broken allowing the door to slam shut every time someone entered or exited. We didn't realize how disturbing this would be until we went to sleep and were awoken half a dozen times in the middle of the night. (The bed backed up to the wall behind the exit...). We checked out early in the morning and reported the broken door. The manager on duty thanked us but could have offered some sort of compensation. We will choose this hotel again but certainly wouldn't accept a room near the exit...

This hotel felt more like a Holiday Inn than a sweet Suite. The furnishings were drab and outdated. The phone didn't work properly. Every receptacle I plugged into was loose in the wall. I'm disappointed I passed up a Marriott Residence Inn for this place. I would not go again, and there was nothing 4-star about the place.

This where I'll stay when in Charlotte. Very acesssible from the interstate . Dining in walking distance.shopping close by.

We had a very nice clean room, great staff and food. Few updates would be nice like hd TVs in rooms. Otherwise I'd stay here again.

This was our first trip with my mother in law.Thanks to Staybridge Suites it was great.The suite had plenty of room for all to have their own space.My mother in law is a strict vegatarian.Breakfast buffet was perfect for her tastes and ours.No special requests needed to accommadate her special diet. The staff was very professional and made us feel right at home.The BridgeMart is a nice touch.The prices are reasonable.Open 24 / 7 makes it even better.We are looking forward to our next stay.Keep up the good work folks !!!!

Staybridge was convenient and provided a good overall value. I love that it has the mini-kitchen. The only issue I had was that the room I was in need of a thorough cleaning. The floors needed to be scrubbed even in the closet as there was dust and tiny debris. Shelves, drawers etc. had remnants from previous guests. These places should be cleaned spotless for the next guest. The entire bathroom from top to bottom (not just the tub) including the commode should be scrubbed shiny clean and it was not. We were also promised clean towels daily and one day all towels were not replaced. Bath floor mat was also not replaced daily, which I think should be. I also noticed one of the towels was not clean white. If a towel is not clean white it should not be put out. Fix these issues and I would give it 4 stars.

Even though I reserved a non-smoking room, the hotel only had smoking rooms when I arrived. In addition to the stink, there were cigarette burns and stains on all of the furniture and the bath tub, Gross! I've stayed in the hotel numerous times and it gets worse with each stay. It's time to move on.
