Residence Inn by Marriott Charlotte Uptown

Perfect location - walking distance from down town and restaurants. Parking was right next to hotel. We were very pleased, and having two connected bedrooms when traveling with teens is so nice!

Only 10 minutes walk to the Convention Center. Spacious room with a fully equipped kitchen. There was a raucous birthday party in one of the meeting rooms on the lobby level but very quiet in my room (5th floor) and it wasn't so bad even in the lobby bar. Staff at reception and bartender were all very friendly and helpful. Hot breakfast was included and the selection was more than adequate (including cooked - not instant - oatmeal and a selection of yogurt). I'd definitely stay there again.

The staff was very attentive and took care of all of our needs. The only issue was that our room had a strong spice\food smell upon entrance. The windows in both the living area and bedroom were open, which I assume means they were trying to get the smell out. Breakfast was awesome and the hotel location was perfect to downtown.

It was a pleasant stay. Clean and convenient. The bar location is convenient. The staff was friendly and the complimentary breakfast was excellent.

The people were extremly nice and accomadating. I will go back again. The only thing in my opinion that would make this a 5 star would have been an inside pool. the buffet breakfast was good and the rooms looked just like in the pictures. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend this hotel to friends and family.

This hotel is very well located, and it is very pretty. The room was spacious and clean. The front desk woman was fantastic: super friendly and helpful. I am sorry I did not ask for her name, but I appreciate her help. She gave me a room with the best view ever of the city skyline. Besides, the breakfast was pretty good. This is not the cheapest hotel ever, but I thought it was a good value for the money I paid. Thank you.

IT was really good. Great staff. The room had everything you needed including the kitchen sink.

Some specifics 1. The beds have 5 pillows each, ranging from synthetic firm to squishy down, in an attempt to address all tastes. Rooms also have refrigerators, stoves, microwaves if you prefer to cook inside. 2. The shuttle drivers were extremely pleasant, never making you feel as though you were an inconvenience. 3. The business center in the lobby has free internet access and printing, which was extremely convenient for printing boarding passes. 4. The free breakfast also appeals to all tastes and preferences. From Eggs/sausage to yogurt and granola. 5. Fun: toured Panther stadium. Our guide Pat was a crack-up, just don't mention the love of her life, Joe Namath. US national Whitewater center is affordable and fun. The walkable Brevard Court is an awesome place to grab a beer or watch a game. 6. Downstairs bar and lounging area is clean and comfortable. We were in town with a bunch of family for a wedding. This hotel worked perfectly. The hotel staff truly could not have been nicer.

best location to the stadium--in walking distance. Been there before and enjoyed it.

Was in Charlotte for a convention, so I was walking or taking the very convenient shuttle to the convention center every day. It's about 4 blocks - never felt unsafe when walking. Hotel is a bit isolated if you want to be in the middle of restaurants, bars and other hotels, though. The morning breakfast buffet is terrific and very fresh. The evening complimentary happy hour is great also - but don't expect to make it a meal. Staff was very friendly; room was clean and comfortable.
