Microtel Inn by Wyndham Charlotte Airport

I booked a room at this hotel because it was close to CLT and not very expensive @ $50 per day. The hotel reeked of cigarette smoke, other than that it was clean. The rooms do not have coffeemakers.

Great Price. It Was At A Perfect Location For A Concert And Carowinds The Next Day. The Non-Smoking Rooms Still Smelt Like Smoke Though And All The Sheets Were Inside Out?

The hotel is not to far from some shopping areas. Not such a very nice area but the hotel is very clean. Wifi was very spotty and breakfast was a joke. Bottom line its a nice area from a quick trip.

Quiet location, free shuttle to the airport and across the street from Cracker Barrel and a Japanese restaurant. Staff was very nice. Television was up high on top of a closet, so it wasn't very comfortable watching television.

The place was clean, but rooms were small. Good value.

A young man checking out of his room was treated very rudely. He checked out and asked if he might check his luggage at the front desk while he went to an early morning job interview. Not only was he told "no," but he was not allowed to "un-check" himself back in to leave his luggage (it was 7:45 am). When he complained, the clerk threatened to call the police. This was completely uncalled for. He didn't deserve it. He paid for an extra night just so he didn't have to take his luggage to his job interview, and it seemed entirely unfair. He totally did not deserve it. I am writing a letter to the manager. Less disturbing, but unpleasant, was that my window was wide open and didn't lock. There are other airport hotels in Charlotte. I'd recommend any of the others.

We only stayed one night. It was close to downtown Charlotte and much cheaper than some of the others.

I will NOT be returning to Microtel Inn - Charlotte Airport. When we arrived, we could tell that all of the pillows on one bed had been slept on because they had multiple hairs on each one. Yuck! It made you wonder what else hadn't been cleaned. They hadn't provided enough towels so we requested some at the front desk and were met with a blank stare. After repeating our polite request we got some mumbled response. We talked to two other hotel workers who gave us the exact same blank stare and mumbled response. What the? We eventually got our towels from someone whom we thanked but she just shrugged and rolled her eyes. This hotel needs serious help.

I have stayed at a Microtel before. The staff was much friendlier than at this hotel. We waited to get checked in for 15 minutes after a 6 hour flight. There was a woman and a man at the front desk and the man was just playing on the computer and pointed to the other lady working as if I had to wait. He never welcomed us or anything. The room sort of smelled. The breakfast had more options than others. The location is so close to the airport that traveling was very simple.

Just beware that the policy of this hotel is no refunds at all. If you want to change your booking in any way, the dates of reservation, cancel your reservation, aren't happy with the hotel, etc. Tough, no refund. You're out that money, and deal with it.
