Don't Let the 2 Stars Scare You Off... This Is a Great Place to Stay

I was impressed with the entire facility. The room was spacious and very clean, with all of the necessary accommodations and more. The window "nook" was a really nice feature and added to the overall aesthetic. I wasn't displeased with any portion of the hotel.

Bad experience

Went for a two day concert and checked in at 10:30pm. There were bed bugs, door latch was broken, smoky floor after requesting non-smoking, wall paint peeling off all across the top of the room, sprinkler coming off wall, noisy neighbors kept slamming door at 3 am.

Just what we wanted

We needed a place to bathe, change clothes, and sleep. We wanted cleanliness and comfort. . The beds were comfortable, the bathroom clean, and the breakfast sufficient to get us to lunch. No frills. Although we asked for non-smoking, the room had 3 ashtrays and cigarette burns. Otherwise a good place for what we needed.

Great place and value

This hotel is not at North Lake but rather the Sunset Road area, which is not as nice as the North Lake Area. The only negativity about this hotel is the location. However, the room was immacualte, stylish, new with TV, refrig, microwave, free cable and wifi. Staff was excellent. Free breakfast, waffles, juice, eggs, toast, fruit, coffee. REally alot for the price. The best value in Charlotte,

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Charlotte has high crime so don't think you can walk around the neighborhood. Be cautious and be in your car or room at nightfall. Waffle House is very close-walk there, maybe Bojangles but a car is a must. Thanksgiving spent with family but slept at Microtel in comfort.

Great Value

We stayed in a suite and it was very nice. Room was clean, comfortable and updated with a flat panel TV. Staff was polite and helpful. We only stayed one night but wish we stayed a couple more. Location is very convenient but don't leave your valuables in your vehicle at night.

NASCAR Event Stay

This hotel is reasonably convenient to the Charlotte Motor Speedway and other NASCAR venues. My son and I each had a room, and we both experienced a good stay - the staff was friendly and helpful, the place was clean, and convenient to places to shop and eat.

Excellent Choice for Cheap, Clean Room

The room was very clean, and up to date!! I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was very friendly, and the location is perfect! Located in the same parking lot as the Waffle House, and Denny's is right across the street, also has other restaurants nearby, as well as the North lake Mall The hotel also has a work-out room! Excellent choice!

Microtel Inn Charlotte North -- Fine

Stayed one night. Everything worked as it should. Room was clean and comfortable. That's all we ask for at this price. Recommended for the budget traveler.
