Loud!
When I arrived to check in there was two groups of people in front of me that were complaining about different things. I got my room that was located right next to the elevator that you could hear going up and down all night. I could here everyone's conversations in the hallway all night long. Super loud. The staff was abrupt and almost rude with me when I dealt with them at check in and check out. The hotel isn't close to anything either. This place is nothing but a clean bed.

The hotel was very nice, staff outstanding. For the cost of the room they wanted to charge 9.99 for internet. That is crazy. I use to love Double tree hotels but if all of them charge for internet I will have to find a new hotel family.

Convenient, Friendly & Good Value
This is a newer hotel with all the amenities. My bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to get up in the morning. I got into town in the evening and had a very nice dinner in the lounge. I was surprised by the quality of the food - I had a seafood dish with grits that was wonderful. The bartender, front desk staff and shuttle driver were all professional, helpful and friendly.

Fantastic trip!
I checked in to the Doubletree for one night and was greeted by two front desk clerks and of course a yummy warm cookie! All my questions were promptly asked, and to my delight the planes taking off from the airport were not as noisy as I had anticipated. On the day of check out I asked for a luggage cart and one was promptly brought to me. Clean room, beautifully renovated, and wonderful employees. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Charlotte.

A great North Carolina "fast food" restaurant is Cookout, very cheap and VERY good food. Definitely check that out while in Charlotte!
