Golf getaway
This hotel is gorgeous. The staff was fabulous. Every single person we spoke to were polite an efficient. The bathrooms are a little small, but the not bad enough to pick a different hotel. We were there for the PGA event, and the shuttle pick up is just up the road about a half mile.

Fantastic business

Great Rooms at Great Location
I was traveling with three adult children to visit their sister and a new baby in the hospital. We drove 9 hours and arrived at 130 AM. We were greeted with warm cookies, two rooms and a smile. The rooms were spacious and functional. Great for business or family travel. If the restaurant doesn't suit you, there are many nearby along with a very nice shopping mall, all within walking distance for most travelers. Wi Fi is not free. . . my only bone to pick. Add free wifi, and "amenities" above gets a 5 and they get a perfect score! This will be our go-to accommodation when visiting family in Charlotte.

Bricktops, literally just across the street, has good sushi along with a good variety of American bar food. Clean, good service. Half step above Fridays in general.

Hotel experience
The hotel will be wonderful but is currenly under remodeling construction... Location was terrific. Staff were very nice. Would like to try it again when the construction is gone. When this was booked, no offers were seen about including breakfast...We were interested in that. Room was comfortable and roomy. Bathroom baseboard tiles could use new grout or cleaned up better....

this hotel is tired and although they have had renovation design boards on display in the lobby for some time, they either need to move it along or reduce their pricing.

great location
I have stayed at the hotel every time we visit Charlotte. The location is great and the size is perfect love the kitchen and the living room. You do not feel that the place is to small. The warm cookies are delicious. Being across the mall is great, you dont even need the car. Clean and perfect.

I would like to make a comment about the charge for the room. I was there be causes of a death and services for a member of the family. The charge given to other people staying there was $99.00 per night, before any other charges were brought to the bill. I did not get that FEE ,but felt it could have been rendered.

very rarely do you find a hotel that has all you need. from the front desk to the restaurant, everything was great. large room, great dinner and breakfast. just sorry i only had a one night stay this trip. i have found a new place to stay when in Charlotte

Bothering staff
the hotel is not so bad, yet it has extremely long corridors to walk from outside to the bedrooms, the longest ones I have ever seen. Which was still fine. The point that really bothered us was the staff, repeatedly calling us saying that they had complaints of kids stumping and jumping noise, now the detail is we did not have any kid, maybe the hotel stuff should learn that they should verify complaints before calling guests rooms complaining. "be professional"

Perfect Place to Stay in Charlotte!
I loved staying at the Doubletree while in Charlotte. Not only was the location perfect for my recent visit, but the room was comfortable, and the cookies made everything even more pleasant. I would come back in a heartbeat! Thanks go to the welcoming staff who made me feel that my presence was appreciated. I'll book the Doubletree again on my next trip! Thank you--
