Days Inn Charlotte/Woodlawn Near Carowinds

A good value and location. Proximity to light rail system was useful. Had restaurants nearby.

This is a disgusting hotel and would never stay there again. Its very noisy and in desperiate need of repair. It was cigarettte burns all over the furniture, the bathroom was not clean and had feces on the walls, the curtains were broken and not fully hanging, lamp shades were missing and they advertise free internet access but very poor signal. Beware of staying here. Spoke with the front desk clerk and agreed that the hotel needed repair but nothing he could do. Contacted Days Inn corporate and they said they would contact the manager. Beware of this hotel. Have stayed at Days Inn before and this hotel does not meet the standards.

The location was nice, but staff especially the front desk was unpleasant. The front desk didn't have a good attitude and we had to figure out where or room was on or own. You get what you pay for!

Sure, it's been years since Days Inn seemed like the destination hotel when traveling. But while my family and friends stayed at the lavish Embassy Suites down the road, I enjoyed my humble stay at this place hidden behind a Mexican restaurant. I wasn't in the room much, but the amenities were nice -- a remodeled bathroom, clean beds, a solid flat-screen, a fridge and microwave, etc. At first, the staff seemed a bit aloof and apologized if our beds weren't made (it was!), but the man who helped us with smaller needs really made our day. I'd definitely consider rooming here again.

It was not anything special which one can not expect for the price. Clean room, has little refrigirator, microwave and coffe maker as well as coffee. breakfast is served in the lobby, it was not great, but it is good enough: you can make yourself a waffle or a toast. they have some serial and instant oatmeal as well as some fresh fruit available. it was second time we stayed there and if there is a need we will stay there again. simple, clean, cheap.

Room was very dirty and the staff double booked our room. had another couple come in while we where sleeping scared everyone to death

The staff was wonderful. the hotel itself a little run down. Good value for a one night stay and if you plan on just having somewhere to shower and sleep. Would not stay for more than one night.

nothing special. nothing bad. stairwell was smelling musty though. a bit pricey for the look. but then again, looks can be deceiving. a reasonable price should be, say, $60.00 flat. not too much. nor too little.

Nice price off the beaten path and peaceful quiet time was enjoyed while i was there.

I cannot express strongly enough my dissatisfaction with this experience. The room was booked incorrectly with only one bed, the hotel itself looked nothing like the pictures provided on the site. In addition, the smell of marijuana was pungent throughout the entire motel. Plus, the hot water in my room had to be repaired during my stay. Honestly, after this I would never for NO reason stay at a Days Inn again.
