My review of Renaissance St. Louis Grand & Suites Hotel

The desk clerk was very accomodating and allowed me an early check in. This was very nice since my flight had me arriving early. I also really enjoyed the crepes and omelets cooked to order.

Nieces Wedding

I was traveling for a wedding in southern Illinois. The hotel was beautiful, and enjoyed the Starbucks right there in the morning. I was to busy to use any of the facilities or restaraunts, but the room itself was quite comfortable.

Couldnt Ask For More!

Overall a great experience! The hotel is in a great location right on Washington Ave with plenty of places to hang out and eat. We had a couple of drinks at Flamingo Bowl which wasnt crowded at all. Then came back and spent some time at the hotel's bar.. great service, good selection even after midnight. Starbucks on the premises and a great little market around the corner. Within walking distance of the Arch.. this couldnt be a better location. We were allowed to check in early and check out at 2:30 at no extra cost! Everyone was courteous..even chatted up the bellhop about the Cards game! All this for a price that was great for a true four-star hotel.

Good location, great room, helpful staff

The room was all I could ask for and featured a very comfortable bed. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and answer questions, especially one guy whose name I unfortunately did not get. Some here have suggested there is nothing to do in the area but I found several restaurants and vibrant nightlife within an easy walk of the hotel on Washington, and with the Metrolink station also just down the street you can easily visit more distant attractions such as Forest Park. My only complaint was that the wireless fee was, in my opinion, excessive and the "business center" was actually a UPS Store on the first floor of the building, so this hotel might be a better choice for those traveling for pleasure rather than business.

RENAISSANCE STL GRAND & SUITES

THE RENAISSANCE WAS AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE. THE ROOMS WERE VERY CLEAN AND THE STAFF WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE LOCATION WAS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF DOWNTOWN ST. LOUIS. ACROSS THE STREET FROM AMERICA'S CENTER, CLOSE TO SPORTING VENUES, RIVERBOAT CASINOS, AND (OF COURSE) THE GATEWAY ARCH. THE RENAISSANCE WILL BE MY HOME WHENEVER I'M IN THE LOU.
