Above average cost for average room

Went down for Arch Madness Basketball. Great location next to the arch and walking distance from Scottrade Center and very near Busch Field. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet downstairs was good, but pricey ($15 for breakfast?) and the extra charge for parking ($18/day) was unexpected. The room was clean and the service staff did a nice job every day, but the pillows were very small and cheap. Bring your own pillow and expect a clean but very average room.

On a weekend conference stay

I can only speak to the room on this one, since I didn't take advantage of any of the bars/restaurants. They let me check in about 4 hours early, which rates VERY high in my book. The room was on the first floor, so no view of the Arch, but everything was clean if a little cramped and worn. The self-adjust heater/AC was pretty ancient and difficult to find a happy medium (and didn't shut off automatically once a desired temp was reached). The bathroom was disappointing...the harshest of harsh fluorescent lighting, no washcloth (the first day, I got one the next day), mediocre showerhead, no fan, and no hand soap. For real...no hand soap. Luckily, I brought my own.

Never Again

It was a bad experience. First room was peeling wallpaper in the room and bathroom. Had to change rooms and that room had condom wrappers behind the nightstand. To make mattters worse when it rained. The entire side of the bed was soked in water. Then there were two buckets on the outside door catching water. Will never stay here again.

could have been a better....

The location is good, however, the room had stains on the rug, the brass fixtures were rusted, and the windows were dirty. The restaurant service was horrible! The waiters never came around. This happened all three days of my stay. The did was good, the service was lousy. Not worth the money of staying...
