Everything was wonderful at the hotel. Only complaint is the room wouldn't cool down even with the ac on. So Idk if the ac was broke or what.

Family reunion

The hotel was not the problem. When I tried to check-in on 3/21/14, the front desk did not have my reservation. My confirmation letter was in the car, & it was a good thing I brought it as it was the only way verify the reservation. After a 25 minute delay I was able to check in. The delay was blamed on the website as the hotel did not receive the reservation. This was not a pleasant experience.

Business trip downtown

Curtains didn't close all the way--pinkish, red, wet spot on floor near the bed. Bed a little lumpy, and remote for TV not easy to use. Maybe needed new batteries?? Staff seemed very professional. Breakfast good, especially the omelets and coffee. Will probably stay here again for another business trip . Like the location--don't have to get on highway again to reach downtown.

Not Too Impressed

I was so excited to spend four nights at a green hotel. We brought the kids for a conference, and although the hotel didn't have an indoor pool (which we usually look for), the trade-off was free parking and shuttles to the conference. Those perks really ended up being the only reason this hotel is getting an average rating from me. The staff was rude to us for all four days with the exception of a new employee. The van driver was really friendly and helpful though. Our rooms were tiny, which is understandable for an older hotel, but we were downsized because one of our reservations was lost, and we still paid the same price. Two of our rooms had plumbing coming apart....literally fell off into our hands. One of the rooms had black mold on the shower walls. The sad thing is I really wanted to love this hotel. I love the decor, the location, and idea of the hotel. The concierge staff could have offered really great customer service. I'm SUCH a patient and understanding person, so I would have made it really easy for them. Instead, we just decided not to ask for much of anything and kept to ourselves in our tiny rooms.

Not what I expected, but decent..

Limited parking, they have a tiny parking lot so on big holiday "New years eve" I had to park somewhere else. Beds are extremely uncomfortable. The shower kept changing from hot to cold, also for it being a 2-3 star hotel and pretty inexpensive considering the other choices, "the room service" is from an outside place that has 5-star prices. I think my salad was $27 cause it had a little salmon on it. The said the had a awesome coffee bar in the morning. It was closed all morning.. The description everything is a little deceptive but it should be around a 2 maybe 3 star hotel max and if your Giod with that then you will be good with the hotel.

Place to rest

Staff friendly and mostly accommodating. We chose this hotel for the shuttle service but it was told that it stopped at a certain time and if the shuttle was full that was it. And not enough parking.

Perfect for a party weekend!

Nice, clean, bargain hotel in great area. Evening reception, free parking, breakfast and walking distance to several restaurants and bars, also a free shuttle for further away places. What more could you ask for!

Very rough. The room was dreadful - door broken, really hot, free shuttle a joke, breakfast sucked, etc. Yuk!

In transition, but nice for price

Checked in 12/4/13, the day the hotel changed ownership and switched computer systems. Booking ahead saved some time, but still took 20 minutes to check in and 20 to check out. Hotel has terrific central location: easy access to Plaza, Art Museum, downtown, etc. Hotel itself shows slight wear even with recent renovation. Rooms vary widely: some smallish, some with mini-fridge, some like suites and you can't ask for any particular type - it was luck of the draw. Non-smoking room had balcony someone had smoked on. We'd stay again due to location, price, and decent breakfast.

alright if you don't pay full price

I did not pay full price for this hotel. I would have been disappointed if I had. Great location in Westport, everything else about the hotel is just ok. Nothing bad, just average.
