Homestead Studio Suites-Kansas City-Country Club Plaza

For non-smokers, Don't be on the 3rd floor. It was great for downtown business convention.

WE HAVE STAYED HERE PREVIOUSLY AND I SHOULD SAY THERE HAD BEEN SOME CHANGES, FOR THE POSITIVES....THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL, QUICK NO HASSLE CHECK-IN/OUT, ROOM WAS CLEAN AND LOCATION GREAT. VALUE, WELL LETS JUST SAY YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. AMENITIES....WHAT AMENITIES, I HAD TO ASK FOR DISH SOAP TO WASH THE LIMITED DISHES THEY PROVIDE, NO ROOM SERVICE SO HAD TO ASK FOR MORE LINENS, ONLY HAD 1 CART TO HAUL ALL OUR STUFF IN/OUT WHICH WAS BEING USED BOTH WAYS, ONLY 1 SMALL SOAP BAR FOR SHOWER AND SINK. ITS NOT REALLY WORTH WHAT WE PAID FOR BUT WE WERE RIGHT WHERE WE WANTED TO BE, AT COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA, SO IF YOU DONT PLAN ON SPENDING ALOT OF TIME IN YOUR ROOM I WOULD PROBABLY RECOMMEND, OTHERWISE CHECK AROUND.

Within walking distance of the Plaza this was a great place to spend the evening while enjoying the Plaza lights

This hotel is really close to the Plaza and a lot of other interesting places. Great location!

Homestead is an OLD hotel. The decor is outdated, the entire building smells musty and rancid, and the rooms, while ample size, aren't very appealing to any of the senses. The toilet, sink faucet, and shower ALL had problems of varying degree. Housekeeping is an EXTRA CHARGE. Otherwise, they won't visit your room at all. But above all, the beds are the most uncomfortable things I've EVER slept on, and that says ALOT coming from someone who lived on a Navy ship for 3 years. I would NOT recommend this hotel. Next time we're in KC, we will stay in Mission or Overland Park!!

location great for my needs; right on light rail line; good local services and restaurants; super for two fine art museums. Friendly, helpful staff. all around, pretty darned good.

Were in Kansas City for a wedding. Mainly wanted to stay somewhere close to the activities. That was accomplished. The hotel could have had more amenties, but were not aware they catered to "long term" guests.Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We originally booked for a single queen bed, however when we checked-in the person at the front immediately recognized our names and said she had a double queen recently open up and was saving it for us on our weekend stay. I must say that this is customer service at it's best! We also talked to the front desk about staying a little more than the check-out hour of 11, she said it wouldn't be a problem to stay till 1. We took up on that offer and was able to shower and clean up a little after 12, after a long walk to support the VisionWalk in KCMO. I would have rated this 3 stars, but due to the great customer service we received I rated it up one more.

The location is great. The staff is great. The facility has some age, but it's ok. They allow smoking, and even though we had a non-smoking room, we could smell tobacco smoke in our room. The hallway was heavy with the scent. Beds were ok at best. Overall, not a place I'll return to.

The location was very convenient to the Plaza and KU Medical Center, where we had an appointment. The hotel was very clean and the staff was pleasant.
