Awesome stay

My girlfriend and I booked this hotel for our birthday weekend in early October. We drove up from Chicago and upon arrival we were happy to find out the great location of this hotel. It is walking distance or a small drive to everything. Our main attraction was the target centre for the UFC fights and it was a 15 minute walk from the hotel. As for the hotel itself, great location, clean rooms, quiet, and friendly staff! Hotel has a nice bar in the lobby area which was nice late night after the bars closed. Also, you can get room service late when your craving hits after a long night of drinking. The main thing I liked about this hotel was the honest and friendly staff. I bought an expensive hoodie when we were here and I left it behind. It was brand new so when we returned home and I realized I left it behind I was not happy! I knew there was no way I could drive all the way back for a hoodie though. I called them and sure enough the lost and found department had the hoodie. They took down my mailing address and less than a week later, I had my hoodie back! A+ service!! Very happy with this hotel!

I was impressed with hotel for what I paid, very nice accommodations: modern and up to date, very comfortable, I had a room with a great view. Was very nicely surprised by what I got for my money. Staff was very friendly, and hotel bar was very nice. If I need to go to Minneapolis again, this is where I'm staying!

Basically, as good as it gets......

Was apprehensive after reading some of the on-line reviews. No reason to worry, our room was clean, functional and nicely done. The hotel staff could not have been nicer, friendlier, or more helpful. The location, THE BEST. Upon checking in we were told about the free bus service, restaurants etc. We got free parking as part of our booking package and never used the car the entire stay. This is not a luxury hotel, if that is what some reviewers are comparing it to, but was a great value for what we paid.

The front desk staff was so helpful in the check-in process. There was a problem with my reservation and they took care of it in short order. My room (superior) was so comfortable to "hang out" after a day's worth of walking and sightseeing. Quiet, clean. Enjoyed the lounge area in lobby -- good place to wait for friends, read, chat.

Good Hotel

The hotel is next to Convention center and the place actually very quiet. Inside the room is cosy and clean. We also did a suit clean to their cleaner. It is quick and very convinient. The price also reasonable. The only thing we don't like is there is a little bigger bottle of water cost $5 if you want it. Still that impression is not necessary in that room.

As you may have know Minneapolis downtown has had Skyway to let you walk through from building to building, from hotel to hotel to reach other places or streets without going down in the street. That is cool. You can access the Skyway at the Hotel and go tour the city or shopping indoor anytime you want.

Very good location. Loved the pool!

The location was great! We were only 1/2 mile from the State Theatre, where we were attending a concert that night. The cab ride was very short and sweet. We enjoyed the pool and sauna the next morning. Would have been nice to have a hot tub too.

A nice suprise

If you are looking for a nice downtown location that is close to the convention center, this hotel will work. It is on the very end of Nicollet Mall; so if you are in the central part of downtown. Then again, this is Minneapolis and a $5 cab ride does get you to the other side of the city quickly. The rooms are nicely appointed, but a little small. The bathrooms are even smaller. That said, they were clean and everything worked properly. Only real negative is they have the nerve to charge $10 for wifi. What a ripoff! If you need to have your computer working for your business, get ready to dig deep and pay for this "extra." The parking lot is in the hotel and easy access to the main roads to get onto the expressway.

Nice Hotel in good area

I flew up to go to the Cowboys/ Vikings game which I am sorry to say the Cowboys got their rear ends kicked..but I digress. The hotel is very nice and is in a good location. The Metrodome is not far at all from the hotel. I walked there to and from the game although most people walk about 1/2 way and then take a 2-3 min light rail train the rest of the way. Either way, it is very conveniently located. It is also close to many nice restaurants and shopping. The hotel staff was very friendly and even went out of their way to try and locate a good church for me to attend Sunday morning. I would definitely stay there again.

I would stay here again!

Great location right on Nicollet Mall downtown -- took a train from the airport and then walked a few blocks, but you can also take a clean, environmentally friendly, and frequent bus. Took the Super Shuttle on the way back, which was very convenient. Staff at the hotel are super helpful and friendly, answered my every request and question. Great comforter on my king size bed, window opens!, on demand movies and HBO on my giant tv.. I was happy:) All the amenities here, including a raucous bar after the MNF game. But the room itself was VERY quiet and clean, although could use a little updating. I would def stay here again.

Nice Hotel, but you pay for everything

This appears to be a very nice upscale venue upon first glance, the staff was very friendly and the service was wonderful. However, the rooms were extremely small, not very clean and the location was very noisy. Parking structure has no elevator for a six to eight level structure. You pay for absolutely everything, including checking emails or web access. Make certain to check out amenities thoroughly prior to booking.

Great location & service

This hotel is working hard on a renovation. Our room was stylish, spacious and clean. The living area of the room seemed brand new, while the bathroom needed to be updated. The window opened and we had a great view. We had a deal on the room that included free parking - unheard of in downtown Minneapolis! The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. We were there to attend the Basilica Block Party, which was easily within walking distance. There were several restaurants and bars, including Brit's Pub, nearby. My only complaint was that hallway noise was easily heard through the door. Otherwise, this hotel met our needs at a price that couldn't be beat!

Convenient location. Clean, comfortable, and spacious room. The desk staff was exceptionally polite and helpful; they handled our group of over 100 and its activities flawlessly. Decent lodging choice

This is a decent hotel, with a good location. The rooms are fine, but nothing special. I can't speak to the restaurants at the hotel, because I didn't use them. The location is the hotel's best asset, if being downtown is important to you. I did NOT get my wake-up call, as requested, on the morning I had to leave. This was a crucial morning, and fortunately I woke up on my own. But the hotel did not perform this very important task as requested.

Millennium maybe

Ordinary stay. We used the pool which had a lot of chlorine. This is better than too little but it was hard on the eyes. The free parking cost $15.00 so I had to call Cheaptickets to get my money refunded to my credit card. Wanted to give me a voucher for future use but said no thanks. So Cheaptickets called the hotel after verifying that the website did say free parking; hotel lost reservation; so cheaptickets had to fax copy to hotel and I did get a refund. Great location; the food we had was nothing spectacular-had better at Hell's Kitchen a few blocks away. Didn't have a network cable for computer-WiFi was not free. Went to Caribou for WiFi.

Wonderful downtown location

The Millennium Hotel provided a warm welcome on a chilly December trip to Minneapolis. The skyway provided ease to my conference and was convenient in the evening for downtown shopping. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was a little small but the room itself was spacious. A wonderful king bed, soft linens and good pillows! I was very impressed with the area, public transportation options, and friendliness of the people.

Pleasant Stay

The Millennium Hotel was a very decent hotel. However, they charge an arm and a leg for parking in their garage which I think should be part of their Hotel Price. It was $15.00/night which was a bit annoying. Right on Nicollet Avenue which was great to just go for a walk and look at all the businesses. Didn't spend more than 6 hours in the hotel and that was spend sleeping. However, it was clean and that is important.

My review of Millennium Hotel Minneapolis

The hotel's location is convienent to many downtown locations. The room was not large, but was adequate. I was disappointed that parking required an additional fee for hotel guests--but I guess that is common for downtown hotels.
