Crowne Plaza MINNEAPOLIS NORTH

hotel is slightly off the beaten path but with all the freeways your no more than 15-20 minutes from most things. beds were rock hard, and sofa/bed is a joke to sleep on. front desk, barmaids were 5 stars. no newspapers come to hotel. thought that to be a bit odd.

The hotel internet was down most of the time during my stay. The elevators were also not working. The staff did a terrific job under circumstances beyond their control.

Overall it was an average hotel. There were plenty of towels and pillows, and the coffee maker was a plus for me. However, the beds were rather hard and there was no breakfast included - that was rather disappointing - I expected more from a Crown Plaza. There was also not an option to help save on laundry by only replacing towels... that are placed on the floor. In this day and age we need to do these little things to help make a big difference for the planet. They had a business center which was convenient to access and reliable in terms of internet connection, but the printer did not work.

- Visiting family - Maintenance of the rom....very poor. - This is the worst Hotel i had stayed so far.....overall not well maintaineded, teh room wasnt clean till 3 days later. Other hotel they do have a cleaning service in the afternoon and garbage was leftover outside the rooms w/ out anyone picking it up.

Nice and Friendly

Everything was nice at the hotel. They provided me with the things I needed. The location was a good deal west of the airport and where I went for my nephew's graduation, but I enjopyed my stay.

The hotel staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The problem I experienced connecting to their wifi was solved by an outside company arranged by the hotel. He had to reroute my computer around the hotel system...they need to fix that. Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant quiet but adequate.

The hotel was nice (comfortable bed, clean room, clean towels, etc.). The room halls had a peculiar smell but the room smelled just fine. The hotel is located 15-20 minutes from downtown but has very close to the freeway.

Our stay there was a vacation to visit family. The hotel was close. Days we didnt feel like going out we were perfectly content staying in, as it was quiet and comfortable

It was good overall, however, one of the coffee mugs in the room had a visible film like it was wiped poorly with a towel, rather than cleaned properly. It makes me wonder what other shortcuts are being taken. The "fitness room" was the usual disappointment: two treadmills and one elliptical, although they had light weights for shaping exercises (<10 lbs). One of the treadmills was covered with sweat drops and there was no spray cleaner or paper towels in the room so that guests could clean up after themselves. There were no clean towels in the fitness room either -- just a dirty towel basket. It is deplorable to call this an "Onsite health and fitness center". When are hotels going to realize that when people travel, especially for business, that they want to maintain fitness. Weight training is an important part of fitness and it is not difficult to get a simple weight training system. Crowded fitness rooms are also hazardous. Hotel managers should allocate more space for fitness rooms rather than trying to cram them into small spaces. Exercise facilities are important and are becoming the determining factor for me when booking hotels.
