good budget accomodations, nice staff
this hotel is well-located downtown and the staff is very friendly. the bathroom in my room hadn't been cleaned, but they switched it promptly and provided a lunch voucher for the trouble. also, this hotel is under renovation, so best to ask if your room is one of those recently updated, or if it's still trapped in the 1980's.

Under construction - great price
Hard to submit a "real" review as this hotel is current undergoing a major renovation, and will become an Embassy Suites. (My recommendation is based on the completion of the construction.) Since they are doing one floor at a time, there was constant noise and banging during the day. Luckily we were out. The lobby is closed off and unreachable now. The price was right -- major discounts because of all the renovation, so if you will be away during much of the day and don't mind the noise in the a.m. (around 9, I think), this is an adequate place to stay. However, the rooms are nice and spacious, and was clean--if you discount the permanent stains on carpet and furniture - but that will all be a part of the past. Staff is very nice and friendly and location is good. The attached convenience store is a place to grab coffee and breakfast, with places to sit, but shelves are partially empty and is lacking in food choices.

Good value for what I paid
I went to Baltimore for a conference. Hotel was located at a comfortable distance, and it was very reasonably priced. Overall good experience with the Hotel staff, but it is undergoing a renovation at present, so the gym o 4th floor was closed, as well as the restaurant, which was inconvenient.

Very accomodating
Customer Service at its best!! We checked in after 4:00 and our room wasn't ready...however, the front desk was amazing - very apologetic - even gave us a credit to use in the deli. Once we got to the room - we were extremely pleased! Stayed in a suite on the 37th floor. AMAZING! Room was immaculate. Modern appliances, very spacious. Exceeded expectations! Would definitely stay again.

needs attention in housekeeping
We stayed at this hotel twice in 4 days as it was convenient to Hopkins. The first stay was very good, even though the hotel is under going renovation. The second stay was not as good - the room was good, but there was no hot water or wash rags when we arrived. The next morning there was still no hot water in the shower. My husband had just had abdominal surgery so we didn't want someone to visit the room.

Average stay
I was a little upset to see that the hotel was under renovations so there was no dining available. The only problem that we had was when we first checked in that our room key wouldn't work and it took 4 people and 2 trips back down to the lobby form the 36th floor before they realized they had given us the wrong type of keys because they are changing all their locks. Also the bell hops when we checked out were not very helpful considering my wife was in a wheelchair.Other than that it was a nice stay. We have already booked the hotel again for a visit in May for my back surgery since they are right across the street from the hospital and they offer special rates for paitients.

Would recommend the Hard Rock and ask for waitress Monique. The food was great and Monique was an outstanding server with a great personality and even recommended some events for us to attend during our stay in Baltimore.
