A PERFECT GETAWAY
I was visiting my son at Johns Hopkins University. I wanted to stay someplace really nice. The experience was perfect. My son loved being able to get away from the campus. It felt like a mini vacation for him. We are foodies and enjoyed the authentic community diner, "Jimmy's" and the Irish restaurant, Slainte (the Scotch eggs and the Maryland Crabcakes were pure perfection). The hotel's location was the epicenter of the Baltimore Inner Harbor. The parking was FREE! My son and I decided that we would institute a visit every semester, a treat for both myself and my son.

A Pleasant Getaway
Our stay was quite enjoyable and the hotel staff were very helpful and hospitable. We parked our car and walked or took the water taxi to inner harbor. It is a charming town with cobblestone roadways, boutiques, eateries & pubs. The nightlife booms with a younger crowd downtown, especially during the weekends. The hotel room was very clean and the complimentary bottle of wine was actually very good! The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on. It was clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. It is a bit pricey, but considering all the comforts and ammenties we received, it was well worth treating ourselves for a change.

Wonderful ambiance amd terrific location
Well appointed rooms overlooking the harbor. Feather beds were extremely cozy and inviting. We found the location perfect for walking to shops and restaurants that begin about a block away. Continental breakfast served by the hotel is replete with fresh fruit of every kind, rolls, and hardboiled eggs. We appreciated the convenient free parking that is a rarity in downtown Baltimore

Fabulous!
Good experience. This was a weekend getaway for my husband and I for Valentine's Day. Check-in was a bit of a hassle. I had emailed the hotel stating that we were checking in late, the next morning, since we were driving up after work on a Friday and were 5 hrs away. They tried to tell us that we were considered a no-show and then couldn't find us in their system. After clearing everything with the manager, providing a confirmation number and a copy of the message, we were given a room near the entrance of the hotel. Beautiful cozy room but a bit loud with guests coming in/out of the hotel. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Great continental breakfast.

Very nice and quiet hotel
Hotel was very nice and super quiet! Great if you are looking to stay close to Baltimore but away from the bustle of the inner harbor. Staff was very friendly. My only complaint would be that the rooms are a tad small; the one queen size bed room was just big enough for our family of 3.

Location, location but with some flaws..
The hotel is in a great location on the marina and waterfront and we have stayed there before. Parking is in a lot close by, there's free wifi and a lovely buffet breakfast included in the rate. We were there for a wedding across town but wanted to be on the water. This time, however, we encountered some problems. The phone needed batteries when we arrived, the TV remote control didn't work and we had some difficulty getting these issues resolved. Our room fronted the marina dock which was wonderful and we could enjoy as long as we were dressed, but walkers/runners were constantly passing by so we had to keep the blinds closed for privacy a lot. We found the lighting in the room to be inadequate, and the bathroom rather small. In spite of this, we would go there again as the staff is helpful and the location just awesome.

Great hotel! Will definitely return
My wife an I drove to Baltimore for a weekend away and found this hotel[...] It is great hotel. Very warm, well appointed, staff is friendly, and it is good location. It is at Fells Point, and an easy 20-minute walk from the inner-harbor. Anyway, next time we go to Baltimore, we will definitely stay here. They do not have a restaurant, but it is easy walking distance to many restaurants within a 5-minute walk.

Relaxing weekend getaway
HWI is a beautiful hotel with great water views in a fun location. The Fells Point neighborhood has many great retaurants, pubs and shoppes within walking distance of the hotel. It is also near the water taxi, which can take you to many other great places in the Inner Harbor area.

Great R&R
Came to town for medical appointment. Hotel was beautiful and great spot for relaxing. Room was huge, beautifully appointed, facing the water, with terrific beds. On our next return, we will bring mini-reading lights-- our only complaint about the room. Very complete continental breakfast, complimentary wine at check in, helpful staff. Free outside parking on gated vacant lot adjacent to the hotel. Though good restaurants are close by, the Fells Point area is a bit off the main Inner Harbor attractions. So depending on your preference, that is good or not so good. Very satisfied with our stay there.
