High-rise comfort in happening downtown ‘hood -- outdoor pool included
The Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel is a 707-room high-rise that takes pride in its convenient location: The 1st Mariner Arena sits across the street and Inner Harbor's attractions are just blocks away. But there is also something to be said for the interior. The sizable rooms and suites emanate an urban vibe, the event space is seemingly unlimited and the ground level boasts Shula's 2, a casual bar with a knack for savory American cuisine. One more perk: An outdoor rooftop pool -- seasonal, of course.
Highlights
  • Convenient downtown location, three blocks from Inner Harbor and Baltimore Convention Center
  • Seasonal outdoor swimming pool
  • Shula's 2, a casual on-site bar and restaurant that serves contemporary American cuisine
Location

The Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel's downtown location works well for business and leisure travel. The Baltimore Convention Center is a short distance away, as are a number of corporate offices. The area also is rife with shops, restaurants, live entertainment and other attractions.

Rooms

Rooms and suites of the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel exhibit a crisp, modern color scheme, with dark duvets and furnishings, light-colored walls and carpets. Spring for a Sheraton Club room for admission to the Club Lounge, a relaxed but upscale gathering space for friends and colleagues, with TV, copy/fax/printer and complimentary office supplies. The food here comes free (continental breakfast in the morning, hors d'oeuvres in the afternoon) and beverages also are offered.

Features

High-speed Internet is available in every room (fees apply).

Guests hit up the seasonal outdoor pool or complimentary fitness center with cardio machines.

Choose from a wide range of meeting and banquet spaces, from the intimate Carroll Room to the grandiose International Ballroom. The hotel can host events for groups of up to 600 people.

Great Price, great location!

The hotel staff was very friendly, the location is great and within walking distance of attractions. Room service was quick and friendly. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable! The view was great as well (17th floor). We booked the room for a weekend getaway and would stay there again. Also it was nice to have a 12:00 pm check out time.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

It's a short walk to the Harbor where there is a National Aquarium. There are boat rides on the Harbor as well any many other attractions. This is a beautiful place for to visit.

absolute worst hotel experience ever!

I checked in around 11pm at night on 8/13. We booked an upgraded room specifically to ensure that we received a refrigerator and microwave. We were traveling with an infant and required both for his food. He has special dietary needs. We spoke with the manager at the front desk 3 times that evening to try and get those appliances and could not. The manager's first name is [...]. I do not remember his last name. Finally we packed up all of our luggage and headed back to the front desk that is when they then gave us the appliances because we ready to leave. Then in the morning, 8/14, we had an appointment to get to for our infant and the hotel did not have any hot water. the manager guaranteed me that we would have hot water in 20 minutes and if not he would give us a full refund and let us leave. After 30 minutes there was no hot water. I returned to the front desk with my family and luggage and left.

Never Again

This seemed like a nice hotel from the reviews and the photos but overall was a horrible experience. [...]The parking garage under the hotel costs $19(+tax) per day to park (no discounted or free parking for guests) and traffic getting in and out is horrible, breakfast is not included in your stay and the continental breakfast (cereal, juice, yogurt, coffe) alone is $13(+tax), and the hotel lobby, hallways, and elevators were constantly packed with loud & obnoxious people. The only good thing about the hotel was the location. The Baltimore Inner Harbor is about 3 or 4 blocks away. Overall, I would Not recommend this hotel to Anyone. I will not never stay at another Sheraton again. This hotel is over priced and nothing is included with your stay.

Check in, no hot water, no free parking.

First of all I booked the room in my name and added my partners name. When I got to the hotel to check in it was a problem for me because my name was not booked to the room. My partner's name was booked to the room. Now I was the card holder and I paid for the room. I bhad all the proof needed and they still would not let me check in until they talked via phone to my partner. And must of all I did not like the parking situation. Pay for parking as a guest? That would make me not want to come back.

Sheraton baltimore

It was actually really nice. My only complaints are that the carpet could've been cleaner. As for the parking it's the biggest rip off and greatest turn off. It's $23 if you park, higher for valet. The smart thing to do is park on the curb, same block as the hotel or adjacent, you only have to pay mon-sat 8 am-6 pm, and then its only $2 an hour.

Not too bad

This location was in walking distance to Inner Harbour, but feels like a long walk after a long day of walking around the city! There was a loud family near us with kids awake bright and early, that wasn't the hotels fault though. Overall it was nice and will try to stay here on the next visit to the city.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

The Landmark movie Theater was a really fun theater on S. President St. It has a bar for those adults interested in a movie and a drink. There's also lots of great places to eat at inner harbour, including a wide range of prices. There is a Starbucks within walking distance for those in need of their fix!

frustrating and disappointed!

My stay at this hotel was awful. Very congested area with no parkinf available for the guest to park. Lots of walking with heavy luggage and $15.00 a night parking fees each night I was there. No micro. and frig. in room. Noise was terrible and walls were paper thin. Sounded like the people next door were in my bathroom taking a shower instead of theirs. Staff ws not friendly at all. I will never go back there again!
