Basic but Good for an overnight

We had a wedding to attend in Baltimore and the hotels the bride recommended were all booked out. This hotel was perfectly located and did the trick. There is no elevator and, as it is June, it got a bit warm during the night as the portable air conditioner was not doing the best job. However, it was reasonably priced for a big Oriole game weeked and we were relieved to find it!

You get what you pay for. However, great location for what you pay.

Old but cheaper compared to other places. This place is only a 15 min walk from downtown/inner harbor area. Also, a bus station is right across the street for quick and handy access as well. The staff member was nice one day then unfriendly.. Overall, I enjoyed the stay. (WiFi was really bad FYI)

Quick Two Night Stay for a Wedding

A last minute booking. It wasn't that bad, no real complaints here. Only thing, I don't mine a buffet style breakfast but I do mine buffet style condiments. That's why they have individual packets. But I guess you get what you pay for.

I would not go back

This is one of the worst hotels I have been. I could write a big explanation of how I disliked staying in this hotel, but instead I will just list the bad points. I do NOT recommend this hotel and I would never stay there again. For me, it is impossible to write a good review about this place. Probably the good reviews are old. The only good aspect about the this hotel is the location. The hotel is very old and smells moldy. The stairs were almost falling down Room was not clean Towels very rough The attendant was cranky No parking (my girlfriend waited in the car while I took our luggage, so I found out we were in the 4th floor and the hotel has no elevator) Bad breakfast The heater cannot be controlled from the room and ghsts from 1st floor were complaining that the heater was broken The room was very small

Pretty good, no complaints. Extrememly nice staff

For around $80 a night you really can't beat it. The rooms are small but they were very clean. Free wifi and free breakfast. The staff was extremely nice and even gave us advice on several attractions to check out during our stay. If your looking for luxury this isn't the place for you. But if your looking for somewhere cozy and on a budget, it doesn't get any better than this. Also not very far from the harbor, about a 20 minute walk. If you don't walk and you don't wanna waste time with parking, a free bus also runs right across the street from the hotel.

Great deal!

The hotel was clean. The bed was comfortable and the price was right. I don't see paying twice as much for a place that all I am going to do is sleep and take a shower.

Average

Not the world's best but it is conveniently located in downtown near harbor and ball park. Shower is just a trickle. Hot water is scarce. You're basically paying for a bed. If that's all you need, this place will do. I will say that I really did like the building itself. A very cool old building.

Horrible

There is NO parking here-until after 7pm-and it's on the street-if you can find a spot. The parking garage that is a block away closes at 9p and does not open until 7a--not good for those out late or, like me, had to leave for the airport at 5am. Room was dirty, no climate controls in the room. Bathroom was dirty, dingy and smelly. I realize this was an old house they converted into a hotel, but the conversion was horrible. Room layouts are bad, no elevator and they have many "make-shift" things like lots of extension cords in the room instead of putting in more outlets, because of the weird layout I had to move a chair to get in and out of the bathroom door, twin bed was on a queen box spring(stuck out), even a skinny person could not sit on the toilet because it was wedged in the only place they could find and you could only stand and aim! I'm usually easy going, but this was just too many bad things. Oh, and I only got two channels in my room-despite the guide saying there was over 40 channel options. When I asked about it I was told, "Yeah, some of the tv's have problems. Sorry." No offer to switch me rooms or anything!
