Harbor sunsets
Was expecting more
Check in process was GREAT, overall staff was great . The room was not . I paid for the upgrade to the plaza and the only difference in a standard room was location. Within 10 mins I had to call the front desk because out toilet turned into a water fountain. The walls have seen better days , and I'm sure the bug crawling around could agree with me. The location was off , the map made the harbor look like 2/3 blocks away in fact it was about 10 but with all the shopping bags and walking the 4/5 blocks that make up the harbor it feels like a 20 block walk. Now a pro is the comp breakfast which did included cereal , pastry, and such as well as comps lunch and drinks . Being from out of town I wanted to get a good experiences and I don't think I achieved that :(

Good for work trips
I went there for two nights and it's near the transportation and staff were very friendly. There's 7 11 close to it and a Panera and a star bucks, so if you're there for work, it's optimal. I didn't like the fact that on the website they said the room has a microwave and it didn't, although I ended up going out for dinner anyway.

Not too bad
The bed is terrible. Day staff are great but night staff are rude. The bath was dirty, water was hard to regulate between hot or cold. Other than that, it was ok. Best price in the area.

Quaint.old hotel
Check in and out was a breeze. Desk staff was nice and efficient as were the concierges. Hotel is very old, but beautiful inside. The room where we ate breakfast($10 buffet-inclueded coffee, frest fruit salad, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage) was very ornate-lovely to look at. There was also a regular menu to choose from. The room left a lot to be desired. Trash can in bathroom didn't have a plastic bag in it,and it was a tiny metal step on to open type. I kept opening it by hand, and then kept washing my hands! The bathtub was so old and needed refinishing badly, but the water was hot.I did not choose the sleep number bed option when booking after reading a lot of complaints, But we got one anyway. The bed was small, I tihnk only a double, seemed small to be queen. It was hard as a rock,so I played with the number controller. It seemed softer, but it actually was like sleeping in between bales of hay.Luckily we got in very late and were exhausted, so my husband slept great, and I had a little trouble finding a comfortable spot. The parking option that we chose gave us free parking in a garage a few blocks over, We could have taken the car in and out,but we left it there.Kind of a pain dragging the luggage back to the car at checkout. Luckily it was a gorgeous weekend, and the walk to the harbor was not bad at all. We also walked to Howl at the Moon at Power Plant Live at 7 pm, but took a cab back for about $10 after midnight.

Entertainment tip:
Short walk from hotel
Go to Howl at the Moon! It's a dueling piano bar- but so much more! The entertainment and drinks are first rate. Such a fun place to spend the night with friends, bachelorette party or just to have a great time.

The Two Tourists
Our Brief Stay
The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was comfortable, and that was our MAIN concerns. Our negatives were that the bed was NOT a sleep number bed (we really wanted to try it out), there was no microwave, and the room had only one really small flip top trash can. But these were MINOR complaints. The staff was friendly and very helpful when we were checking in and out, and needing directions around town.

Short walk from hotel
Take advantage of hotel's parking partner, It was $15 for 24 hours, with unlimited in and out privileges. Also the free buses around town could get you to most locations you need, although we walked to all places we visited.

Definitely not Radisson Quality. Room had nothing to let you know what wastavailable in the hotel nor in the area. Staff recommended nothing nor mentioned anything about what was in the hotel. The outlet in the bathroom had obviously had an electrical problem because it was black. The toilet had problems too. We went to use the workout facility and most things were either broken or missing. Then we got locked in the room because the elevator didn't work. The emergency phone didn't work either. Finally, a laundry room attendant came in from another door way and we told him we were locked in. He said there was no other way out. So then we asked how he got there. He went and got another worker who took us through the laundry room and the then to their elevators, up through the kitchens and then into the lobby. We I told the desk of the problems, I got no reaction except, "i'll let my manager know. Oh, and this person (right next to her) is the manager. NO RESPONSE! Nothing! The restaurant is under construction and no one told us that either, so their is a limited menu. Instead of letting us know there are places that offer free shuttles to their restaurants from the hotel, they gave us some pizza take out menus. We found out about the shuttle from a limo driver the day we left. The concierge didn't know where anything was either. There is nothing to offer in this hotel other than a room with broken items and a staff who doesn't care. FINALLY on the day we were leaving, they sent someone to fix the bathroom stuff.... oh, as we were getting dressed to leave.

Short Stay
My husband and I stayed one night on our drive down to DC. We got there late and left early the next morning, so we didnt spend too much time in the hotel. The hotel was nice enough- older, and did need some touch ups. Bed slept fine, and staff was friendly. I did realize after we left that I had left some clothing items in the room, and I never heard back from them- which I was not happy about.
