This was not a good experience

The signage was poor, making it difficult to locate the hotel. Parking options were not included in the website, therefore, we had to pay for Valet parking. This was not included in our budget. Upon check-in, a fee was placed on my card for potential damages. The next day, an additional charge was on my account; the front desk was vague about the reason. I was told it would be removed after I checked out. In addition, one burner on the stove did not work, and we were missing silverware. The refrigerator was on the highest setting, which ruined some of our food. Overall, our stay was not enjoyable and we will not return to Homewood Suites.

WE HAD TROUBLE

I don't know what happened to my review that I posted. I chose this hotel for location for a conference. The room was ok and the food was good, location was suitable. The little place next door was ok for lunch one day. I thought lunch was expensive in this town, about $15 per person. We seemed to have lots of trouble. We checked in and from traveling were tired, so we went to bed early. I put the little ffip lock on the door. So glad I did, someone tried to enter our hotel room with a key to the door a little before 11. They were banging on the door but being in my nightgown and not expecting anyone I was not about to answer. Then I get a call from the front desk, who was I in this room? They had rented our room to someone else and given them keys. Well the next morning I went down to breakfast with just my room key and when I returned couldn't get into my room. Because of them giving my room to someone else, the security system locked us out of our own room. They wanted i.d. which of course was locked in my room. We were locked out of our rooms another two times over the next three days. Then when checking out they claimed I had a vehicle and had added parking to my bill. I told them I didn't arrive with a car and didn't have one and hadn't parked. They claimed someone used my name to park a car in the garage. Now that sounds fishy only the staff would know my name to park a car anyway. Finally took that off the bill. The toilet didn't work. Now they knew something was wrong because I opened the back of the toilet and saw where someone had gerryrigged a repair. After a day I called the front desk to get it fixed while we were out. When I returned after lunch, my door was propped open with the little bar and left unlocked. That disturbed me, because we had a laptop unsecured in the room along with our other belongings. I waited awhile to chastize whoever did this but they never came back. I then called the front desk who sent me the head of maintenance who apologized but whoever supposedly went for the part, never returned to fix the toilet. So after waiting 45 mintues, I don't know what happened to Mr. fix-it. This place is run like a circus and everyone is nice about it but everytime I turned around there were nothing but problems.

Great hotel for baseball week-end

We came down from Upstate NY for a couple of Yankees/Orioles games. We could leave the car at the hotel and walk to Camden Yards, The Aquarium, Fells Point, and easily anywhere around the Inner Harbor. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very courteous. The use of the health club and pools was a great bonus.

Reservations mean nothing

We did not get the king suite we had "guaranteed". The desk clerk didn't even tell us until we went to the room. Had to deal with manager to get another room. Again, we did not get room we wanted and only found out when we entered room. [...] Hotel itself was nice.

A great place to stay

This hotel is in a great location.... just a couple blocks from the inner harbor. The suite was very nice and clean. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The only problem we had was with the furnace. At first it was vibrating loudly so we asked for it to be looked at while we were out. When we returned, the vibration had stopped but was replaced with a high pitched squeal. Unfortunately it was late at night so we did our best to sleep through it. I'm sure the staff would have taken care of it but we were too tired to complain.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

The inner harbor is full of great shops and restaurants. We had no problem spending an entire day there!

Excellent

Excellent room, very nice and very clean. Everything in suite was modern and everything we needed was there. It was a smoking suite that did not have a trace of smoke in it!!! When we first arrived we noticed there were no ashtrays but after a call to the front desk, three were brought up quickly. The only problem we had was that. It was very hard to leave this place!!!

Excellent place to stay

Went out to night club near by and stayed at this hotel I was very pleased with everything. Food in the morning was good. The kitchen had all the amenities you would need. Plenty of room for around five+ adults will stay there again.

The Harbor

Hotel was very clean and inviting. Staff was very friendly and professional. The water in the morning was not hot, so I was forced to take a cold shower. The only other negative thing I can say about the hotel is, the crib for my one year old was not in the room upon check in. It took about an hour or so for it to be brought to the room, finnally arriving aroiund 12:30 am. I would stay again, and again, and again!!!!
