As a member of the Preferred Hotel Group's Sterling Hotels -- a collection of independent, free-spirited properties -- the 97-room Brookshire Suites hotel puts a premium on character. The Brookshire Suites hotel sits smack in the middle of downtown's bustling Inner Harbor district. Guests can walk to shops, restaurants, and a number of attractions (the USS Constellation, for example, is just a few blocks away).

Great Location and the most comfortable bed!

The hotel had iced lemon water in the lobby daily which was great after walking around the Inner Harbor. The location could not get any better so easy to walk to all the sights. The king size bed in our room was so comfortable I wanted to take it home. The free breakfast was average but the man working was terrific. He was always moving clearing plates and helping guests out. If they didn't have something out he would go and check if the kitchen had it. I love Baltimore.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

The Baltimore Museum of Art is free and just a few miles away. It has some amazing pieces and I am shocked that it is free to get in! The public circuit bus is also free if you don't want to move your car from valet.

Hotel was great for the price. Yes, it is a little dated with wallpaper peeling a little and marred walls. But it is very clean, the staff is great and only a short block from the Inner Harbor. Well worth the value.

Great location, Fabulous Staff

Very, very happy on our half business half pleasure trip. A 10-min walk to Convention Center and mere steps to Inner Harbor. Free hot breakfast included fresh cut fruit and good coffee. The room was comfy and well cared for (though the rug had seen better days) and the windows could be opened for fresh air. Valet parking only; a bit pricey but not unexpected for location. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Highly recommended!

True Ravens Fans

I stayed over one night and it was fine for just the night. I don't think I would want to stay more than one or two nights. The bathroom and wet bar had older appliances, but the bed was very comfortable. We had a view of the inner harbor which was nice. The air conditioner/heater vent had metal flaps that would move as air was being blown out and made a rackety noise that made it difficult to get to sleep. I chose the place for the price and location, so I knew I wasn't going to get a swanky room. Good for the cost.

Brookshire

Hotel was exceptional find. Very convenient location, great staff, wonderful hot breakfast, comfortable beds, clean rooms. Only complaints would be a lot of outside noise (not hotels fault, just sounds of the city traffic) and valet parking is very expensive ($35 per night).

Great location

If you want to get around Baltimore without a car, this is a good hotel to choose. It is 1 street away from inner harbor. The national aquarium, the gallery mall and many great restaurants are walking distance. Also, it is close to the circular bus which transports you for free around the city. The room was very spacious and the free breakfast was a plus.

Great for the downtown Baltimore experience at a good price.

Clean and a good location. Can be noisy on the wrong side but I was on the 11th floor so ok.

Business Trip

Front desk wasn't rude, but they weren't exactly friendly. The room was adequately clean, but the walls were beat up (gouges and nicks).
