Budget Cape Cod hotel just a mile from Hyannis
The Howard Johnson Inn Cape Cod Area offers travelers a budget-friendly place to stay within a mile of Hyannis. Guests have easy access to ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, beaches, whale watching, golf, tennis, shopping, fishing and restaurants. Entirely adequate. Good price & product
We found this hotel to be just fine for a weekend stay on the Cape. Reasonable rate and a clean room. Check in was easy, and the manager switched us to a ground floor room with no hesistation. The water pressure in the shower was good, but the towels were a little rough. The AC worked well, but was a bit loud. The pools both looked just fine, but we just didn't have time to utilize them. It was easy to get to & right on the highway that is Main St. in Hyannis so we did a little more shopping and dining there this trip. It wasn't a Hilton, but we're blue collar working folk and can't afford a Hilton. For a regular family stay this hotel is great. We will stay here again and would recommend it to family and friends.

worst hotel I ever stayed at
The room was dirty. There were fleas everywhere. After complaining and showing the manager a couple of the fleas that I killed, he wiped them up and told me they were probably mosquitos. He then told me he didn't see anything and there was "no evidence" of fleas!!!! Very rude.

Awful!!!
This place was awful. We were supposed to have a view and ended up looking at concrete. We were supposed to have one queen sized bed and had two double beds. Both of them were hard as rocks. The curtains were ripped and the bedspread was stained with something that looked like blood. Blankets had holes and the bathroom had no curtains at all. Don't waste your money!

Good value for the money. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Outdoor and indoor pools were wonderful.

it was okay- clean and good location but not too modern- very basic yet comfortable Many items in the room broke. AC was great!

Good price, good people,
The noise level was high. I felt as if there were elephants on the second floor and monkeys next door. I was near a play area so children were outside early. I did that with my own but now not so much. The sauna was locked so I could not use it. The breakfast was good. A bigger table would be helpful so more people can get breakfast at the same time. Unmonitored kids in the hottub means that.... well, I was not able to go in even if I wanted to. I hope there were enough chemicals in the hottub.

The good, the bad and the ugly.
We basically needed a place to sleep because we were out and about most of the day and evening. But when we were there you could hear the footsteps of the people in the above room. The water pressure for the shower was not good and we did not put anything in the drawers of the burreau because of a bad smell in them. The room smelled of mildew. The front desk staff were nice and polite.

HORRIBLE
I booked the Howard Johnson's Hotel that was on your site. Now i have stayed at some places that were rated a 2 and it was not that bad... This is worse... 1)When we got at 7pm I went to open the door and the door stuck. 2) Found a dirty Q-tip on the floor3) Room smelt like PEE and musty4) Hardened PEE Stains on the toilet seat5) Bugs6) The phone was DEAD.7) The guest computer in the man lobby was down for a "virus"8) Then went I went to the desk to complain, the office was wide open and NOBODY was there. I went walking around and I found the desk clerk CLEANING a room for his next guess. again this was after 7pm. I told him the phone wasn't working and we need air freshener and I wanted to tell him to come. He said (can't i finish this room?" Well that really rubbed me the wrong way but I thought it maybe 5 minutes. It wasn't it.[...]
