Great Location
The hotel has a great location close to the Back Bay Area and main attractions. I stayed at the 7th floor, the room was very small and the heat was not working. Also, it was noisy. I thought some of the other guests around were being loud and noisy but actually it was the same employees being loud while cleaning or doing any other task.

Okay stay
Our experience at the Park Plaza was not as enjoyable as we were hoping. It is in a wonderful location and beautifully designed but we found the staff to be less than ideal. Both of the women that I talked to during the check in and check out process were short with me and not over friendly in the least. Also, another upsetting experience was we were woken up but loud pounding on our door at 8 o'clock in the morning. As one of my friends was walking to the door to open it the cleaning staff was trying to barge their way in. Considering check out was not until 12pm I think that 8am is a little early for the staff to be busting into our room. Being a Boston native, I would recommend this hotel to those looking to be in a good location and in walking distance to some of the best parts if the city. Otherwise I have stayed in other hotels in the city with nicer, more accommodating staff.

Disappointing Second Visit
We returned to the Park Plaza for a Memorial Day Weekend of baseball and seeing family. Our experience last April was nice so we expected a similar one this time. While the hotel is in a great spot, we had numerous issues that left the impression that we need to try another option in 2014. First, the front desk was understaffed so check in took much longer than it should have for a property of this size and reputation, The standard excuse about a terminal being down seemed suspect. Secondly, both nights we could hear band music all the way up on the fifth floor until almost midnight. This made sleeping quite a challenge. Finally, we received a statement under the door the day of check out that showed a full room charge to the credit card ( submitted for incidentals only) despite having conveniently pre paid at the time of booking four months ago. Again, the response from the over worked front desk staff that she had never seen that before was the final one we needed to decide the Park must not want our business again.

Perfect hotel for exploring Boston
We went on the week of the Fourth of July ( which I sooo reccomend) and stayed at the Boston Park Plaza. The room was small and unsuccessfully updated ( we stayed in the Towers Suites) but it was comfortable, and had a great view of the city. The room was much smaller than I imagined, but not a big deal in the scope of the trip. The conceirge was so incredibly helpful every day, and we loved exploring Boston's colleges, shopping, history, and fun spots. Best trip ever.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
There is a subway station on Boylston about 30 feet from the Hotel. We got "charlies passes" before coming to help with transportation, and it was a total breeze.I do reccomend taking a taxi from the airport to your hotel, only becuase its easy after flying, and the cabbie could have some great insight into the city. Ours did! it makes for a fun beginning to your trip.

Couples get away
The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was older, with some updates to the tub/shower area. No fan in the bathroom was odd. Lamp on one side of the bed was not plugged it, NO SOCKET TO PLUG IT INTO! The dresser that housed the TV (nice TV by the way) had a broken leg as well as a bent one, it didn't fall over so thats a good thing.

Wear comfy shoes/sneakers. Traffic is brutal but the hotel is within walking distance of A LOT of stores, food and bars
