Perfect Location
If you are having a weekend or a night in Boston's theater district this is a perfect location. Quick walk around the block to the ballet, theaters, restaurants etc. The hotel staff is terrific. Bright, happy, engaging, helpful. The room (my room anyway) was trendy and cool with nice bedding and a good washroom. Closet space was poor. Your suit will fit but her gown is best hung on the wall. Nice touch with a simple stereo CD player. Plug in your iPad or iPod. The whole charm of this place is where it is. The fact that it is a well appointed, though small, room and well kept is a bonus. Pricey. The Omni is next door and probably a better overall value. But This one works too.

fancy but useless
This hotel has nice modern fixtures but when it comes to the basics it is lacking. No in room coffee or tea. No bathtub. To get your coffee you can go to the crazy priced restaurant. 5 dollars for coffee or tea. It costs us 40 dollars for 2 scrambled eggs and coffee. Ridiculous. We would not stay here again. Not sure why this is 4 stars.

Perfect Celebration Location
From the moment we arrived we experienced nothing but friendly staff and pure comfort. The hotel is located right near the Downtown Crossing area, a very central place to be, and perfect for us to celebrate a birthday nearby, and then walk to brunch on Boylston Street the next morning. We loved their complimentary wine bar that evening, and were eternally grateful when they supplied us with a fan to provide white noise at 3:00am!

Ruined shirt and food poisoning but I'd still go back - great location.
Did not have the best experience at this hotel but I'm not sure if it was all their fault. The first night I stayed I got food poisoning but I'm not sure if it was the room service I ordered or the fast food I had earlier in the day. My guess is that it was the hotel since I was told by a coworker it takes about 4 hours to vomit after eating bad food and that's about how long it was since I ate the hotel food. Also earlier in the day while eating the fast food I got grease stains on my shirt. I called the hotel laundry service and specifically pointed out the stains that needed to be removed. The next day I got the shirt back (on a hanger and in plastic) and the guy said nothing about the stains, I assumed it was taken care of but the next day when I took the shirt out of the plastic I clearly saw all of the stains. It looked as if they didn't even try to remove them - like they weren't even aware of them. I called the front desk and the manager came up and took the shirt and said he would personally try to remove the stains. I told him I didn't think there was anything anyone could do now and that I thought the stains were now already set. When I got the shirt back it turns out I was right - the stains were now faded but still visible so it's now garbage. If the original laundry service had treated the stains properly the first time then I would probably still have the shirt - I know I can get similar stains out with tide and a toothbrush. The only other negative is the price - it is more expensive then other hotels. My room service breakfast of raisin bran, bowl of berries (because they didn't have a banana), small grapefruit juice, and small pot of coffee was $25 which is a bit high. On the good side the bed was more comfortable than most hotels I stay at (I do like a firmer mattress and that's what they have), I enjoyed the view; across the street is the old cemetery where Paul Revere is buried. The location is great if you want to do sight seeing - right on the Freedom Trail. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Overall I would give this hotel another shot but there are other hotels in the same area that I would try first before going back. At this point I would not recommend it

This hotel is right on the Freedom Trail and Boston Commons is just down the street. Lots of good dining options within walking distance and the Bull and Finch Pub (the bar the TV show Cheers was based on) is on the other side of Boston Commons (a little bit of a walk but not too far).

Ideal hotel
I visited Boston with two friends for a four day getaway. We traveled from the San Francisco Bay Area to Boston. The Nine Zero was situated ideally-we were able to walk or take public transportation to all sites from Beacon Hill, Boston Common, and North End to Fenway Park, Back Bay and Harvard. The hotels decor was updated, clean, and decorated with a modern flair. The hotel staff was friendly and prompt addressing our needs...extra towels and late check out.I will recommend this wonderful hotel to family and friends.

4 adults getaway
Hotel was in a great location. Walked to everything except Fenway Park. Room was nice, but nothing special. Service (doormen and hotel clerk) were very nice. Let us chec k in early and leave our bags while we travelled tthe day after check out time. I don't think we'd stay there again for the price we paid. I've been to less expensive places that I thought were better in terms of amenities, etc. Ice bucket in room, but no where could we find to get ice. Others we were travelling with had umbrellas in their room (possibly left there by someone else), we did not. No "machine's" for ice, water or juices, just a large pitcher in lobby for filling a plastic cup. DEFINITELY, won't stay there again. We saw lots of people coming out of Parker Omni House next door, so that must be a sign of where of where to stay next time.

Summer in Boston
decent hotel, although expected it to be nicer. The bed was terrible. It had a big dip in the mattress where big bodies have compressed it. So half the bed was unusable. And the fan didn't work in the bathroom. They said they'd fix it, but they never attempted to fix it while I was there.( 2 nights) I stayed at a Kimpton hotel in Philly, and this one didnt seem as nice. The staff was very helpful. Good crew of people working there. Hotels are all over priced for what they deliver these days. The TVs in the room were not HD. Good location, & the breakfasts were good in the hotel restaurant . Plus you can get free good coffee and tea in the lobby every morning if that helps get you going..... Next time in Boston, I'll try a different hotel.
